Why is Donald Trump afraid of Megyn Kelly?
Blasting News ^ | Jan 26, 2016 | Mark R. Whittington

One of the strangest battles of Election 2016 is not Donald Trump vs. Ted Cruz or Hillary Clinton vs. Bernie Sanders, or even Jeb Bush vs. Marco Rubio. The squabble everyone is talking about pits Trump, the mercurial businessman who wants to be president of the United States, and Megyn Kelly, the rising star of Fox News and one of the most fearsome interviewers on the airwaves

Megyn Kelly “fearsome”? Not fearsome, just combative and often wrong.

TRUMP is messing with FOX.

It’s a win-win for TRUMP. If Kelly should go, TRUMP flexes his influence. If she stays, he succeeds at diverting all eyes on HER performance, as an “unbiased, fair and balanced” panelist.

LOL!

He is like a lot of rich people. He wants to be surrounded by fawning, sycophants. In this regard, he is also much like Obama. He simply cannot stand to have people point out that his words and his deeds are not consistent. Trump represents the theory that you can fool all of the people all of the time. Trump thinks all you have to do is spout some conservative ideas, even if you don't believe them, even if it's just claptrap and cant, and you'll fool everyone. He may fool enough, but his biography is not congruent with conservatism.

Fearsome? More like low life skank who wants a name for herself. Trump would be wise to ignore her. Make her invisible. No more publicity will shut her up.

This article is so of BS is reeks.

I can think of a ton of reasons behind Trump’s remarks. Here are a couple.

1. He genuinely dislikes her, and frankly I would too.
2. He has considerable behind the scenes knowledge about her and doesn’t respect her as a journalist, moderator or person etc.
3. She is on record as saying and in print negative things about Trump, eg that he sent her “creepy messages.” These were probably polite cards, notes complementing her on her show and not intended to be taken that he was “hitting on her.”
4. Her first debate was loaded with questions that were intended to undermine him.

These first four are really immaterial I am sure.

5. He wants to put her on the defensive, so she’ll be careful about what she asks or her intent. If she asks some question with a hidden agenda he will instantly out her. If she doesn’t, because she’s on notice, that good for him too.
6. I think some of this is contrived to build up the viewing audience.

Marcus never replies to his postings of his articles.

So in total here it is:

One of the strangest battles of Election 2016 is not Donald Trump vs. Ted Cruz or Hillary Clinton vs. Bernie Sanders, or even Jeb Bush vs. Marco Rubio. The squabble everyone is talking about pits Trump, the mercurial businessman who wants to be president of the United States, and Megyn Kelly, the rising star of Fox News and one of the most fearsome interviewers on the airwaves. It all started during the very first Republican presidential debate when Kelly asked Trump about his habit of saying nasty things about women in public. Trump was so taken aback that a day or so later he would be equally nasty toward Kelly, saying, "you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes... blood coming out of her wherever." The statement is at the same level as what Bill Maher called Sarah Palin.

Trump appears to be afraid of another face to face round with Kelly. He is threatening to boycott the next FNC debate unless Kelly is removed as a moderator. Fox News has, to its credit, refused to knuckle under to his demands. As of this writing whether Trump will attend the debate or not is up in the air.

The spectacle of a presidential candidate threatening to take his ball and bat and go home unless the mean girl who made him uncomfortable is not allowed to play is more than a little unbecoming. Trump, after all, is basing his candidacy on the theory that he is going to deal firmly with America's enemies, whether it is forcing the Mexicans to build a border wall, forcing China into a better trade agreement, or raining fire and death on ISIS and taking their oil. If he can't handle Megyn Kelly, how can he be expected to deal with people like Vladimir Putin or even Justin Trudeau, the newly minted hippy-dippy Prime Minister of Canada?

Kelly has a well-deserved reputation for her ability to make guests on her Fox News show sweat by asking pointed questions. If one finds oneself being interviewed by her, one would be advised to bring one's best game. Trump's response is to whine about how unfair Kelly is and then propose that he is going to run and hide from her. The behavior is pathetic for any man but dangerous for someone who proposes to be the leader of the Free World.

Mr. Trump most certainly is not afraid of the little bird legged lemon tart from some third rate law school in the wilds of upstate New York. IMHO, Mr. Trump believes that even infotainment bubble heads, like the one in question, should refrain from abusing the power of their position by laying stupid and most often irrelevant cheap shots on political figures they happen to dislike. The bubbleheaded lemon tart in question is so offensive that I have placed her on my ‘never watch’ list, in company with the other Faux News buffoon, O’Reilly. Mr. Trump is simply insisting that media slime who step over the line should suffer the consequences. Trump afraid of a nobody??? Surely you jest.
