I cannot access my recipes, documents, etc...because Windows 10 cannot communicate with the mothership
Use your Personal Computer. It’s yours....
Sounds like someone got beamed up...and took your stuff with them.
Its time to print off hard copies of everything I need.
It used to be mine. Its time to switch to Windows 95 or Linux.
I REMEMBER WATCHING THIS SAME VIDEO IN 1995. /NOT
THANKS! I cannot access my PC unless my computer is connected to the Internet. Thank you for your help.
I think that I knew that already. But thanks anyway
Yo have another problem.
You should still be able to use your system without an internet connection. I have had connectivity issues unrelated to Win 10 and was able to login and use my system to diagnose and resolve my problem.
You have some sort of virus/worm/trojan
I had the same problem this week. I had to do a complete reinstall.
Happy to say that I didn’t lose any settings or data, but it was a pain, trying to fix it before my wife downloaded the reinstall on a thumb drive.
Thank goodness that Costco is selling 2 32gb thumb drives for $19.99!
No I don’t. I have forgotten more about computers than you will ever know. Thanks for playing, though.
Switch to Ubuntu linux and never look back. Mac isn’t bad either. For me Win is exclusively an offline game playing box.
Good advice. I am doing that, right now. I was leaning that way anyway... but this has pushed me over. I am done with Windows.
You don’t seriously store everything in “the cloud”, do you?
Downloading Linux now. Goodbye Windows
If the documents aren’t on your machine, they aren’t your documents. You did read the terms of service, didn’t you?
You want to back up? Removable hard drives, thumb drives, or DVDs are the way to go.
It will probably work out this time, but consider this a warning.
Mint seems to be the current flavor of favor.
Found a brand new Windows 95 install disk still in its protective plastic covering with book and everything. Was two dollars at Goodwill. Maybe frame it?
turn off your wifi with the computers wifi power switch and do a local log on
set the windows 10 operating system to always use local logon
I hate it when I turn on my computer and it connects to the internet and tells me how much mail I have- when someone else is logging on (one of my kids)
The operating system is support to control the hardware and provide you with an interface you can interact with.
that’s it.
NOT connect and manage other aspects of your life....email has nothing to do with running the actual computer. Internet services either.
When Mickeycrap made it “part of the operating system” and said it could not be removed It really pissed me off
