WASHINGTON/NEW YORK (Reuters) - Ted Wade hasn't cared about politics enough to cast a vote in a U.S. presidential election for almost a quarter of a century, back when he supported Ross Perot's independent candidacy in 1992. But Republican Donald Trump's 2016 White House bid has motivated Wade to get involved and he plans to support the real estate mogul in Nevada's nominating caucus next month. Trump is a "non-politician" who can fix the "chaos" in Washington, he says. About one in 10 Americans who plan to cast a vote this election will do so for the first time in years, if ever, and Trump holds a decided edge with them, according to polling by Reuters/Ipsos. (http://tmsnrt.rs/1SgeLvi)

These voters offer Trump a pool of voters who could be decisive either in the Republican primaries or a general election. They could be crucial for Trump in early-voting statesm such as Iowa and South Carolina, where his nearest rival, Senator Ted Cruz, is putting pressure on Trump and enjoys a strong base of support with more traditionally conservative voters.

In Reuters/lpsos polling from June to December 2015, 27.3 percent of these "new" voters said they would vote for Trump, higher than his poll numbers among independents and Republicans who regularly vote.

By way of comparison, Cruz captures just 3.4 percent of these voters. And Senator Marco Rubio of Florida snags only 4 percent. "I'm tired of the chaos between Democrats and Republicans and want to give somebody a try who I think can make a difference," said Wade of Trump. The 51-year-old has already switched his affiliation from Democrat to Republican and even attended a Trump campaign event in Las Vegas....

In the early days of this cycle Levin used to put on Blue Collar guys, mechanics, truck drivers etc. who claimed they haven't voted since Reagan.

And allow them to proclaim they were going to vote for Trump...and that they knew many like themselves.

Well if Trump is to win he needs these lost voters to find a caucus station or voting booth.

If they do... Game over.

Without Trump there would be almost zero interest in what any of these guys have to say. None of them would be talking about illegal immigration, none would be talking about Islamic Terrorism or Muslim immigration. None of them would be showing any signs of doing more than the bare minimum against Clinton. Jeb Bush would in all likelihood be coasting to the nomination, because no one would dare challenge him on much of anything out of fear of being crossed off his list of possible VP choices.

When I saw the list of the never were’s, has beens, and boring candidates, I had no interest whatsoever. I figured that the fix was in to hand the nomination to Bush, who would then put up token resistance to Clinton, the way McCain put up only token resistance to 0bama. That way the gop would not be seen as denying us the great honor of having our first female president, and all the gope would still be invited to all the cool cocktail parties.

A lot of people see no real difference between the Uniparty’s candidates.

Whether its Jeb or Marco or Hillary, nothing will change.

They see Trump offers a chance to break up a stale and ossified system that works for insiders and not for average Americans.

The polls may be underestimating the breadth of Trump’s support.

Trump and his operatives are confident they can do what few of his rivals for the Republican nomination have shown they can do — expand the party's potential voter pool.

Rush has been talking about this for weeks

I’ve heard from several of my relatives who haven’t voted for many years, and yes, were DEMs. They are now registered and all in for Trump. People can say what they want, but, Trump is making a difference. These same relatives can’t stand Ted Cruz. Not that they aren’t Christians - it’s that he seems so fake to them - and he is.

You see huge crowds turn out in liberal bastions like MA and VT for Trump - in winter.

He’s doing something no GOP candidate has been able to do for a generation - attract Blue State voters.

Trump is expanding the GOP voter pool and the establishment would rather lose than bring new people into the party.

This guy I work with is a retired union bricklayer. He told me he voted for Obama twice because that’s what the union told him to do. Now that he has gotten into shooting and is seeing what is going on he said he’s voting for Trump.

Those blue collar stiffs are the backbone of Trump America.

And there are a lot of those folks out there.

I’d call them Archie Bunker voters.

I'd be sitting out the election again if not for Trump. I swore to myself a long time ago that I'd never vote for a Democrat, but that I wouldn't necessarily vote for a Republican. And then, general election after general election, I'd drag myself off to the polls to cast my vote for whatever opportunistic politician had an R behind his or her name each time. I quit that after McCain and I actually felt a lot better about myself when sitting out the elections.

With Trump, I'd actually have somebody to vote FOR, instead of just the one I felt was the least worst.

Trump is the Uniparty...colluding with LIEberals and bribing them to shape policy that benefits himself.

He has a long history of contributing to and promoting the most extreme DUmocrats and their causes with zero support for any conservatives or their causes.

This is exactly what happened when Jesse Ventura ran for governor of Minnesota. POP’s (pissed off people) who hadn’t voted for years, turned out to vote for Ventura.

Average people also feel that he is someone on the level and a president that will listen sincerely to their concerns even if he can only do so much about the corruption in Washington.

Uniparty? Yeah, if Trump is the “R” and Clinton is the”D” - they are both democrats.
