Ted Cruz Visits Texas Border To Welcome Illegal Alien Families…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | 1/17/16 | Sundance

Posted on 01/17/2016 5:20:49 AM PST by Sybeck1

The headline reflects the moment my previous support for Ted Cruz (2011/2012), which evolved to concern about Senator Ted Cruz (2013/2014), turned to admitting Ted Cruz was a phoney.

The date was Saturday, July 19th, 2014 – I remember it vividly because I noted in my journal “last straw in providing Cruz any benefit of doubt – done“. The week leading up to that weekend DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson appeared before an emergency congressional committee and stated he needed $4,000,000,000 (billion) in emergency appropriations to deal with the enormous “humanitarian crisis at the border“.

We knew that claim was fake because we had been tracking border apprehension reports and comparing them to the expressed narrative from the White House.

There wasn’t a mass influx of unaccompanied alien children (UAC’s), there was a predictable and intentionally constructed swarm of illegal alien “families“. Secretary Johnson never got the $4 billion; and the “humanitarian crisis” mysteriously disappeared from the headlines. The reason, simply because it was all manufactured. They spent hundreds of millions for nothing.

We knew that. Heck, (40,000 children just mysteriously disappeared) and certainly the intelligent Senator Ted Cruz, with far more exhaustive resources at his disposal, certainly knew that. Yet he participated in the ruse anyway.

We knew why Glenn Beck was doing it – like Jeh Johnson, it was all about the Benjamins; and the religious entities who make millions annually from taxpayer funding of illegal immigrants were in full support for the same reason.

Beck and Cruz were passing out Teddy Bears and Soccer Balls, while Catholic Charities and Baptist Child and Family Services were getting millions. The inner-city American kids? Well, nothing for them…. not even a word from Jeh. But, oh yeah, Black Lives Matter, right? I digress.

Good post.

I love what Trump had been doing.

Now, he is sowing the seeds of his own demise.

To use the same term Sundance used, he is losing the benefit of the doubt.

Yeah that Cruz is a fake conservative all right. Hells bells, he even supports late term abortion and gay marriage. Oh, wait. That’s Donald Trump who supports late term abortion and gay marriage, not Ted Cruz.

Never mind...

“To get an idea of how Cruz spins his deception, log onto his site and read why he says he voted for the Corker bill. It is embarrassing to think people would fall for it, but they do.”

_____________

Just one of many ‘mistakes’ by Ted.

I was just reading an old thread where Cruz is taking shots at the terrible SCOTUS John Roberts. Not mentioned by anyone is the fact that CRUZ is the lawyer working for Bush who pushed John Roberts on us in the first place. And he thinks we are a democracy!

“Those decisions are a threat to our democracy.” Cruz slammed Chief Justice John Roberts,

And the most interesting post :

I don’t believe Roberts was bribed or extorted— least not by the Left. Roberts was appointed by Bush-— and one need only ask oneself, where would the Bushes comes down on Obamacare— or gay marriage for that matter.

Roberts just did the bidding of his benefactors, the Bushian socialist, globalists.

______________

Well, one of the “Bushian socialist, globalists” turned out to be Ted Cruz.
Here’s what Cruz said when he was pushing Roberts.
In 2005, Cruz wrote a National Review op-ed that said “[A]s a jurist, Judge Roberts’s approach will be that of his entire career: carefully, faithfully applying the Constitution and legal precedent. “
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/ted-cruz-john-roberts-mistake

and

“There’s rarely mention of his role in recruiting John Roberts, who would later get a seat on the Supreme Court, to the legal team doing battle for Bush during the 2000 Florida recount. No, that would undercut his rants now about Roberts’s insufficiently pure conservatism as the high court’s chief justice.

It would emphasize how well connected Cruz is. And it would contradict his pose for the presidential race, in which he is the prairie populist, replete with Western iconography and attire.”

The old bait and switch the subject tactic. Talk about leftist traits.

sundance is on record as originally being a CRuz supporter. After much watching, listening and researching CRuz, he/she now supports Trump.

The same could be said about sites/groups like “Conservative” Review....who spin out faux ‘ratings’ on candidates, that happen to be glowing only for CRuz. Guess what? It just so happens CR is headed up by CRuz BFF, Daniel Horowitz.

Trump’s history is well recorded. We know everything about his past, and positions he’s changed on, over the last decade. We’re finding out things about CRuz, daily. He’s only a freshman Senator....he needs to be vetted. We’ve already tried a freshman Senator who was NOT vetted.

Excellent summary of CRuz’s history of ‘flip flopping’, or twisting. You’ve provided links and research history, for all points.

If folks would only take the time to read through, rather than only attack, it would be enlightening, for many.

Thank you.

I prevent burglars. Fed Gov does not prevent illegal invasion. Cruz was handing out toys to kids who’ve been lied to. He did not bring them into the country, nor does he believe they should be here. He was simply being kind. There’s nothing to read into here. His public record on illegal immigration should be enough to convince the average person of that.

On the subject of SCOTUS Nominees...

This is an interesting read.

Cruz later criticized Roberts, but it was too late.

Read who brought him on board the Bush team.

Read the praise he had for him during the nomination process.

See if you recognize any catch phrases in there. These are the exact terms Crewz uses to describe himself, and my inclination is to consider the terms probably about as accurate.

Constitutional Expert / John Roberts / Really?

Great post and research Branch.

The bloom is coming off the Rose for Cruz(R-Goldman Sachs)
I was once a Cruz supporter. Donated to his campaign(still getting 3
emails a day begging for money) and attended 1 rally in Jackson, Tn.

I have come to believe he is not the man he pretends to be.
He is not a bad man. He is just another of many typical politicians.
Nothing more.

Another flip flop. He was glowingly FOR Roberts (brought him to the ‘party’), before he was against Roberts.

Yes, the terms of praise indeed sound “utterly” familiar ;-)

“His public record on illegal immigration should be enough to convince the average person of that.”

Yeah, right. Comfort yourself with this —

from: Ted Cruz’s dishonesty on immigration

by Jon Ward, 12/16/15

“I have never supported legalization, and I do not intend to support it,” Cruz said, when questioned by Rubio.

In 2013, however, Cruz sponsored an amendment that would have allowed undocumented immigrants to remain in the United States permanently and obtain legal status, while eliminating a path to citizenship. It is very hard to square that effort with Cruz’s claim that he has “never supported legalization.”

That doesn’t stop him from trying, however. Cruz’s campaign said last month that his 2013 amendment was a “poison pill,” intended to undercut the main legislation and reduce its chances of passing. By eliminating a path to citizenship, Cruz hoped to turn Democrats against the bill. Top Cruz spokesman Rick Tyler repeated the “poison pill” assertion after the debate Tuesday.

Set aside for a moment the fact that Cruz’s actual sponsorship of the amendment demonstrates a supposed commitment to legalizing undocumented immigrants that he now says was insincere.

At the time, Cruz was far from coy, instead representing himself as hopeful that his amendment would make it more — not less — likely for immigration legislation to become law.

“I don’t want immigration reform to fail. I want immigration reform to pass,” Cruz said in a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on May 21, 2013, the day that his amendment was voted down by the committee, 13 to 5.
