From a super quick, not comprehensive web search & reading, it looks as though there’s no time in the election process where Hillary can’t be replaced. Timing depends on motivation & desired outcome.

If Obama & Co. want Michelle, or Biden/Warren, the best thing would be to wait until after the convention, where all you would (appear) to need is an internal decision/election within the DNC. Because of the primary filing deadlines, it’s too late to enter the primary race, but NOT too late to be appointed after the convention.

Before the convention, it gets too messy, where convention delegates are bound by a variety of rules (depending upon the state). You get into a situation where states would have to free up electors to vote for another at the convention if they could do it legally. If TPTB want a mess this could be an option.

Because of all this (if accurate) I think any serious indictment will come after the convention, probably August or September, which would give the DNC time to meet & insert their chosen candidate onto the general election ballot. The Rio Olympics will be happening in August, and would be a great distraction for the public.

The extended until August way is also a deliciously malevolent way to keep Hillary wondering & twisting in the wind, while still having to campaign & spend money. The ultimate in ‘head games’, if Obama REALLY hates her.

I could be completely wrong about the Aug/Sept. part; it’s just my speculation. October would work well too. :)

Apparently, there hasn’t (historically) been a presidential candidate replaced after a convention, but there have been (at least) 2 vice-presidential candidates replaced by a similar method.

See this article http://teachinghistory.org/history-content/ask-a-historian/20431 for more info. It speaks of a replacement due to death, but a legal indictment would probably work in a similar way. I can’t find any info about this process having been changed recently.

As a disclaimer, yes, I could be wrong about all of this, so YMMV.

“There is still enough time to get Uncle Joe on some later ballots so that he can collect delegates prior to the convention.”

I'm not sure of the rat party rules - but in an emergency, can't dem bosses nominate and give the nomination to anyone they want at the convention; someone off the bench?

The fact dem electors didn't vote for the nominee in the primaries should be of small concern.

As much as she deserves to rot in jail, they’ll never do anything to the Hildabeast...

It’s not too late to bring Michelle Obama into the race. Then Trump would have a real problem on his hands. She wins hands down. But first, Hillary has to get knocked out.

I think you’ve got the most likely scenario figured out.

Even if Trump could vacate a blanket pardon, if she pleads no contest can she be tried for the same crimes again?

What if a Trump administration discovers other felonies?

A soap opera writer couldn’t make this stuff up.

Not sure of the convention rules, but I think the delegates are bound to the candidates for at least the first roll call vote. If nobody gets a majority, then delegates can change their allegiance.

Taking the current overview I have come up with a plausible solution. If Hillary is charged she would not need a pardon. She will plead diminished capacity and all her hidden medical will come out. They will line up Medical scholars if they have to. Ths she keeps the Foundation and its money and continues to pay off Obama. The D’s realize she probably will not win anyway and could throw anyone into the race. They keep the money and leave the country in disgrace. Obama could hide the entire situation with an executive order.

I hope I’m wrong, too. This, so far, seems like one of those Congressional “investigations” that produces nothing.

Hopefully, we will be able to say I was wrong.

Delegates may be bound by the rules, but . . . if dem party bosses decide to break the rules, who would call their hand? Would it be the President of the United States, Congress, or the Supreme Court?

Like the Constitution and the Ten Commandments, dem party rules are just suggestions to be changed when they need to be changed; ignored when they need to be ignored.

Dump an indictment on Hillary now and insert Biden/Warren.

I think Trump would have better luck beating Hillary than Biden/Warren. I hope she stays in the race.

Hillary is like fingernails on a chalk board. Plus there are so many other issues that can be to her detriment -- lies, health, Benghazi, varied scandals from finance to sex. With Biden/Warren you get Biden who's a good ol' aw-shucks kind of boy, a bit of a dolt, but likeable. Put that with Warren who attracts all the socialist nutbags. It could be a winning combo for the left. Hillary is poison; we'll keep her.

What do you think Obama said to Bill, the day they were golfing, which seemed to elicit such an astonished look on Bill's face?
