"Trump is unleashing this sense among a certain group of white men that violence is acceptable."
In an op-ed Thursday at The Los Angeles Times, contributor Dexter Thomas (pictured above) declares that Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is "a white-people problem" and that the white "community must take responsibility for any damage that has been done, and take steps to correct it."
Thomas wrote that "people of color" police their own because "[w]henever a black or brown person does something unsavory in public, members of their community know that it will - fairly or not - reflect on them." He urges whites to handle the controversial, "particularly embarrassing" Trump the same way:
White people should feel insulted by [Trump's appeal to "white nationalists"]. They should feel ashamed - as white people - of Donald Trump. Whites need to stand up and say that they will not allow Trump to hijack their culture, or to conduct his racist politics in their name.
But that's not enough, Thomas continues. Whites must also "take responsibility for any damage that has been done, and take steps to correct it." He refers to race-mongering activist Tim Wise, who warns that Trump empowers "angry white people" who "might turn to terrorism."
Thomas then quotes race-mongering "comedian" Kamau Bell, who says that whites need to police Trump and the racists among their own because "white people listen to other white people better than they listen to anyone else."
To that end, Thomas plugs Dara Silverman's organization Showing Up for Racial Justice, which aims to organize 7 million whites who will pledge to combat racism in their daily lives. It's not enough for whites who disagree with Trump simply to joke about him; they need to "vow to work with their neighbors - for many of whom America was never particularly 'great'" in order to change "the society that allowed him to come to prominence."
So come on, all you privileged white people, don't let Donald Trump speak for you and conduct his racist politics in your name - you know, like blacks did with Barack Obama.
The whites should take responsibility for Dr. Carson as well.
Somebody tell me when Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Oprah have been BANISHED from society for being the RACIST POS’S they are by black people
Who’s going to take responsibility for that funky haircut?
I wonder if this Run DMC lookalike freak will take responsibility for Black Fecal Lives Matter, after all, they call for the murder of cops every single day
Sure, no problem. I support and will vote for him. And if it comes done to race, there are more Whites in the U.S.
And to be posted on FR???
If your going to take that view of things, then I guess obuma best take care of all them Black Community people, and Jeb Bush should take care of all them Latinos, Mexicans and such; and Rubio and Cruz should take care of all those Cubans....that is about how much sense this makes!!!
Really, we have better things to do that put up with this garbage....
Thanks for the reminder to re-watch “Eraserhead” sometime.
“Know thine enemy”
“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Has he forgotten the Watts riots? Or the riots after the OJ fiasco? A dozen others black riots.
You should be you dirty racist. (((sarcasm)))
He wasn’t alive during the Watts riots.
Let’s turn that around, shall we? Obama is a black people problem and they must take, oh why bother?
Well I would be. Really I would. Maybe I will. Soon. Eventually. At some point. But It’s so much easier to hate idiot liberals of any color.
See my tag line ;)
I was thinking that his head must be pointed.
OK. No problem. I take full responsibility for Donald Trump.
Now, sit down, have a Coke and a smile, and STFU.
