I’ll concede he sees Iran as a huge trading partner. As to whether he wants nukes there, it’s hard to see how he wouldn’t also be as scared of them as us, given his country’s proximity. Perhaps Putin feels he has options to deal with that which go a bit beyond what is allowable in ‘polite’ Western culture.
