And it's perfectly natural, to cheer for someone who makes your adversary look like an idiot. But when you cross the line into ignoring that person's faults . . . .

Its why I support Ted Cruz.

Smart enough to know better than just hand the mideast to Russia while being smart enough to know we don’t need a direct conflict with them to restrain them.

In this case I think Turkey was clearly in the wrong and they should not be in NATO to begin with but that’s really separate from Russia.

I think, if the quote is real, it’s a metaphor for a massive and humiliating defeat. Like we would talk about a sneak attack as a Pearl Harbor or final defeat as a Waterloo.

Between Erdogan and Putin I'll take Putin any day. Erdogan is ISS’s biggest supporter. Pure slime. Hopefully, Putin will clean his clock.
Heck, I'd take Putin over Obama any day. Way I see it, Obama is about the most anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, anti-Isreali president on the planet. Putin has done more to fight for Christianity and Christian principles than Obama and the homo marriage loving, idiotic Western European leaders combined.

In a fight between ISIS loving Erdogan and ISIS crushing Putin, would you rather they cheered for Erdogan? Why would any sane Christian cheer for Erdogan or Obama for that matter?

Just out of curiosity, what has Putin done to “fight” for Christianity and Christian principles?

I am surprised Putin was so restrained. I imagined a meeting between him and the Turkish ambassador resulting in a small caliber round inserted between the eyes of the emissary. The remaining question would have been if the body were returned whole, in pieces, or the Turks were dared to come get him.

Just by seriously and actually and going all out to kill and destroy the Christians beheading ISIS vermin alone, he’s done a heck of a lot more to fight for Christianity than Obama and the Western European leaders ever did. If anything, Obama has actually been arming ISIS. Turns out a lot of the US supplied weapons ostensibly for anti-Asad forces, ended up in the hands of ISIS. The US “bombing raids” against ISIS have been a joke. It’s been revealed that Obama explicitly stopped US bombers from bombing ISIS fuel trucks or warned them to get off the roads or leave their trucks in the few cases they actuAlly dropped bombs. I mean, you just can’t make this stuff up.

That would be an improvement over having the Mohammedans control it. In fact, today it would be a great idea.

So you believe that Russia is bombing ISIS. That’s cool.

The principle of defending the turkmen in Syria was the same logic that Russia used in Ukraine.

Will Turkey send “volunteers” into the turkmen mountains now; just as Russia sent “volunteers” into Crimea?

“Then tell your dictator president he can go to hell along with his ISIS terrorist and I shall make Syria to nothing but a ‘Big Stalingrad’ , for ErdoÄŸan and his Saudi allies are no vicious than Adolf Hitler,” said Putin...

Damn. I don’t want to like Putin, and his rant ‘sounds’ like Hitler...but damn.

They sure are bombing ISIS a heck of a lot more than Obama ever did. Why do you think the French president came here poetry and convince Obama to let the French coordinate their bombing raids against with the Russians and why do you think ISIS brought down the Russian passenger plane?

Every Russian Tsar since Peter the Great has dreamed of controlling Constantinople the Bosphorus and Dardenells

Don't forget re-consecrating St. Sophia.

The Russians are late to the game. The French have been bombing Syria (and ISIS) for months.
