The Week Where Democrats Permanently Lost One of their Favorite Arguments

36601-medieval battle

As anybody knows, every Republican who achieves national recognition gets branded by the Radical Left with at least one of three labels: stupid, old, or evil. After Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris, the Democrats have permanently forfeited one of these labels, given how four of the most prominent figures have reacted to the attacks:

First, we'll start with the crazed socialist who's a big hit with all of the kids, Bernie Sanders

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Sunday reiterated his claim that climate change will lead to terrorism by destabilizing regions affected by droughts, floods, and other natural disasters.

"The reason is pretty obvious: If we are going to see an increase in drought and flood and extreme weather disturbances as a result of climate change, what that means is that peoples all over the world are going to be fighting over limited natural resources," Sanders said on CBS's "Face the Nation."

"If there is not enough water, if there is not enough land to grow your crops, then you're going to see migrants of people fighting over land that will sustain them, and that will lead to international conflict," he added.

The Democratic presidential hopeful raised eyebrows when he made the claim at the second Democratic primary debate on Saturday.

The self-proclaimed Democratic socialist said on Sunday that the attack on Paris is an early example of this phenomenon playing out.

"Well what happens in, say, Syria ... is that when you have drought, when people can't grow their crops, they're going to migrate into cities," Sanders said. "And when people migrate into cities and they don't have jobs, there's going to be a lot more instability, a lot more unemployment, and people will be subject to the types of propaganda that al Qaeda and ISIS are using right now," he added.

"So where you have discontent, where you have instability, that's where problems arise, and certainly, without a doubt, climate change will lead to that."

Next came the world's ugliest trophy wife, our own Secretary of State who came frighteningly close to becoming our president, John Kerry. By the way, did you know that he served in Vietnam?
Secretary of State John Kerry drew a distinction Tuesday between the two terror attacks in Paris this year, saying the terrorists who attacked the Charlie Hebdo office in January had a "rationale" as opposed to Friday's events, which Kerry described as "indiscriminate" violence.

"There's something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that. There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of -- not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say, 'OK, they're really angry because of this and that,'" Kerry said during remarks at the U.S. Embassy in Paris.

Of course, being CNN the post has to end with some "Critics pounced on Kerry's remarks" idiocy. Next up is our first presidential candidate who might be in prison by the time of next year's election, and oddly enough the crimes she committed pale next the unspoken fact that she has also committed treason. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you our former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton!
Later in the debate, CBS moderator John Dickerson picked up on her careful word choice, asking her to react to Republican presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio's declaration that the U.S. was at war with "radical Islam."

Clinton started answering by saying, "I don't think we're at war with Islam. I don't think we're at war with all Muslims. I think we're at war with jihadists." But Dickerson then interjected, noting that Rubio didn't say the war was against all of Islam, but "radical Islam."

Clinton then explained the thinking behind her reluctance to describe radical Islamic terrorism.

"I think you can talk about Islamists who are clearly also jihadists but I think it's not particularly helpful," she said. "We've got to reach out to Muslim countries. We've got to make them part of our coalition. If they hear people running for president basically short-cut it to say, we are somehow at war against Islam."

If only she could be as civil when she's speaking of people who don't want to murder her. In fairness to Clinton, her remarks were way less offensive than the other three Democrats being cited in this post. Although at the same debate she also promised to not raise taxes on the middle class, which may be the most honest thing she has ever said. Between her ideas to make low end workers to expensive to get hired and given how she wants to expand on Obamacare's laws that are making health care too expensive to afford there will no longer be any middle class left to tax.

Of course, the worst of the worst came from President Obama after Friday night's attacks.

They’ll keep right on using them, however, and the media will keep promulgating these arguments for them.
