You can also copy the text from the source, paste it into Notepad or TextEdit ( straight txt editor), copy again and paste into FR editor. That will strip out all special characters.

Sound easier than copy/paste, then chasing apostrophes, click-backspace or delete, after which needing to re-type the character at each occurrence within the text.
