So the 3rd debate has come and gone. The feckless republicans have caved to Obama once again. Evil men who are in control have evil plans for all of us who are not one of them. The media, once again, have shown their ugly bias for the world to see. Hmmm.
In some ways we have a lot to be thankful for. We have a good field of candidates this year, although some are not so conservative, a good handful are. When have we had such a choice? This election cycle is pretty interesting, if you think about it. Not only that but you have several candidates that are not caving to the media pressures, but taking them on. That's refreshing for a change! Even some of the ones I'd never vote for have taken a stand against the media for their lies. Is it enough to win the WH? Who knows, but I pray so.
I encourage all of us to continue to pray, fast when you can, and pray some more. At some point we have to decide on which conservative to get behind, and I pray that here, on Freerepublic.com, we won't get into bashing one another. We need to spend our energy in working to get the best possible candidate, even if not our own first choice, into the WH. We need to expend the energy exposing the lies the superPACs have boasted they will bring out against any conservative candidate who wins the republican nod. This is going to be serious business, as they have deep pockets, and we know that as some of the GOPe candidates drop out, they'll be angry and start trying to take revenge. The CoC has promised it will go ALL OUT against the likes of Cruz, Trump or Carson. We will need to be vigilant and keep up on these ads and expose them.
It's bed-time now, so I'll close with this:
The good news is still this: God is still on the throne. He is still in control. Nothing surprises Him, and even though there seems to be a lot of unfairness and violence, He will make all things right when the time comes. Evil has raised it's ugly head as Satan is being given the ultimatum that his time is coming to an end soon. He is churning the world into a fireball of hatred, but when it is time for Messiah to return the tables will be turned on him and he will be overthrown.
Scripture says that when we see these days upon us to look up, for our redemption draw near. Draws near is the key. We are to see the signs of His coming and prepare. We don't want to be like the foolish virgins who were not ready.
So, we need to prepare, and we need to stay vigilant as good citizens here on earth, to do what we can to keep evil at bay.

I wrote my US Congressman today, telling him how I felt about his voting record so far. I know he probably doesn’t care, but I also told him that if I was not so new to the state here that I’d consider running against him in the primary. Age is another factor, though. At 67 I’d not be considered a viable candidate, I’m sure.

Well said, sister. Pray also for nation to repent of it’s sins (homosexual marriage, promiscuity, abortion, idolitry, mocking God, etc..) and turn to God. If it doesn’t, it will lose his blessing and face his wrath.
The problem is that I live in a predominantly Democrat region bolstered by powerful unions. I will be long dead before he leaves office

Writing to a Congressmen - ANY Congressman - is like beating your head against the wall. It feels good only when you stop. All you get back is a photocopied letter - or worse, an e-mail - full of “I did” and nothing about your concern except “Thank you”.
The only thing these perverts, liars and thieves understand is a vote AGAINST them. It doesn’t matter anymore who is running against them; they’re interchangeable.
And don't forget to add impetus to the prayers via cash donations to your favorite candidate and to FR.
