They can go to hell.

I’m a yankee and the South didn’t start the war. They would have whipped us if they had the same number of men. Lincoln was an idiot who didn’t care about slavery till he could use it as a rallying cry.

And how the @#$@#$ does having 300 bucks entitle you to get out of fighting? what was the logic exactly in the north?

Slavery would have eventually disappeared from the South anyway. Only 5 percent of southerners owned slaves and as cheap labor poured in (like my Italian ancestors) there would have been no need for it and it would have faded. I’m sure there would have been a desire to have it ended after a while also. Wouldn’t have been worth the incessant outcry from the Europeans.

The Confederate flag should be removed why? because of slavery?

Should the American flag be removed because the Indians couldn’t fight well enough to fend us off or because Mexicans were too lazy to conquer Texas?

As we would say on Staten Island to these protesters, “Forget about it and get the @#$#$ out of here before I bust your @#$@#$ing head open”

Wagner-Pettus is a precocious 50 somethin year old Mabusite, along with her Husband Gary Pettus. They help former governor William Winter stand up so he can rail against red neck mississippians who have not come to worship the second reconstruction yet. Both are employed by the newprint giant, the Clarion -Ledger which expels good journalists and rewards the asinine butte kissing antics of clowns like Bill Minor, pettus and wagner pettus. With these assclowns’ help the Gannett owned paper has become a staple in the States political arena and in trash cans all over Mississippi. It hangs on to a market share by having no known competition and a populace that still drags it’s feet when it comes to the internet and it’s still (at this time) free flow of ideas (at this point)

Proposed new flag.

This flag does acknowledge the Confederacy. The six stars in the inner circle represent all the nations Mississippi has been part of. Indian, French, Spanish, British, Confederacy and USA.

Current flag.

Original Missssippi flag.

The magnolia flag. Why not use the original.

The people of Mississippi can decide what’s on their flag.

The rest of us have more important things to worry about.

The MSM ignores the thousands that rallied for the flag to remain as is.

If the removal of the Confederate flag canton from the Mississippi state flag would suddenly make all the negro protesters become engineers, doctors, truck drivers or rocket scientists I might entertain a change, but it won’t. They’d still be the same low IQ, violent, unemployed wards of the state they currently are. They’d then move on to the next excuse of a boogie man they can blame for their lack of success. Excuses are easier to make than progress.

In 1970, Myrlie Evers ran for Congress in a special election in California’s 24th District in northeastern Los Angeles County. She didn’t have much of a chance because it had previously been represented by Glen Lipscomb, a hardcore conservative Republican. She got trounced by John Rousselot, another hardcore conservative who would remain in Congress until the next decade, when the Democrats who controlled the legislature gerrymandered the district by throwing in a bunch of Democrat precincts in East LA.

I wonder of SC Governor Nikki Haley joined them. She did her frenzied best to promote attacks on the flag, claimed that the Confederate battle flag causes homicides. Maybe she knows it doesn’t, but lied to have an excuse to attack our history.
