Those who don’t understand it are certainly NOT well informed, though they no doubt think they are. It’s very understandable for Europeans not to understand. Every bit of news they’re fed about the USA is filtered through a socialist filter. They don’t even begin to know what they don’t know.

” Collects random quotes from people he runs into.”

That’s step one...

Step to is: keep only the ones that bash Trump.

These are the questions I've been asked most frequently during my trip to Europe to promote my new book, "Celebrity in Chief: A History of the Presidents and the Culture of Stardom."

Maybe it has something to do with the book you are promoting?

I am bewildered and stunned that the Europeans would surrender their country, in the most literal terms, to hordes of Western hating Muslims.

These elitist losers, just like the elitist losers in our own country laugh and sneer at Trump for “not having any ideas”. Good management and common sense in government are HUGE and novel ideas in this day and age. So is financial independence from lobbyists. These are all aside from Trump’s bold policy positions on immigration and trade defecits, and the 2nd amendment, as well as his pro-growth tax policies. But yeah, aside from that he has no ideas.

The clueless, ignorant left drools over any new plan to take away our money and our freedoms. Those are “bold ideas” to the left even though they’re all really the same old left wing freedom and prosperity hating ideas they’ve always had, albeit wrapped up in new packaging.

In my travels abroad when I have heard comments about our political system, its characters, actions, and policies, the first thing I do is refrain from giving any answers, replies, responses, explanations, defenses and so on.

Instead I ask the foreigner who made the comment or inquiry to tell me, to explain to me how he or she goes about getting their information and then I delve into how they’ve assessed the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of the information channels they’ve adopted.

Usually, the reaction to my approach is one of surprise. Usually, they never think to question their information or to consider its veracity.

So this writer/commenter/pundit with name Walsh does not bother to assess the sources of information from the people he writes of. Instead, he takes what he describes as an ‘unscientific sample’ and then proceeds to develop a narrative about it. So it’s garbage from the get-go. The reason that it’s garbage is because he didn’t have the budget nor does he appear to have the experience and ability to assess the information channels by which most Europeans are informed and further he does not have the budget to do the subject matter justice via formation of a scientific sample.

So whatever he’s written here is basically a ‘cheap shot’ into the garbage bin of daily journalism.

Trump would not have been my first choice for someone to support my views and values. But the trouble is, he's the only one supporting them. There were times when I was in the military when I'd be asked, why did I do some particular thing, and my answer was, I didn't see anyone standing in line behind me. It was I or no one. Some with Trump. I don't see anyone standing in line behind him with the same ideas.

This is what is referred to in linguistics as an “elliptical sentence”. It’s short for “He has no ideas that I approve of”.

Agreed, just like this one, "Undocumented immigrants and H1Bs are here to do the jobs Americans won't do ..." FOR WHAT WE FEEL LIKE PAYING THEM.

These same people, as a rule, were very enthusiastic about Obie. Why don’t they explain that?

Thanks 2ndDivisionVet.

The Partisan Media Shill (PMS) who swilled out this garbage op-ed is purporting that the smaller minority that supports Hitlery and Sanders (combined) *is* America, and that the larger minority that supports Trump isn't. Number two, Europeans are rising up against the dismantling of their nations and institutions (soon, that list of institutions will *not* include the EU) and despite the steady media drumbeat (including from what passes for their comedians, most of whom are either atheist a-holes and fairies, or jihad sympathizers or both) the ordinary European understands Trump's immigration stance PERFECTLY.

The folks to whom I talked, traveling Americans and citizens from other countries who are affluent, well-informed and interested in U.S. politics, can't believe that Trump is the front-runner.

I suspect Kenneth T. Walsh only spoke to fellow liberal elites... and yeah, they don't get it... What else is new? Walsh could have saved a bunch of money and just walked into the New York Times newsroom - they don't get it either, but they're a lot closer.
