McCarthy has really hurt the credibility of the attacks on Hilary’s scandals by announcing they are all just political.

She’s going to take every opportunity when she testifies before the Benghazi committee to bring this up. McCarthy is either dumber politically than a post (so how then is he majority leader? he’s not ‘dumb’) or he sabotaged the committee. Call me cynical, but I vote for the latter.
I think Trey Gowdy should make a preemptive strike - when Madame Benghazi appears to testify, there should be 4 very large pictures, one each of Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, & Glen Doherty, placed prominently in front of the members of the panel and facing in Killary’s direction so she has to look at their faces the entire time she’s testifying. In his opening remarks, Gowdy should remind her and the committee that the reason they are there is to try to get some justice for the 4 Americans killed while serving their country. When Killary continues to whine about politics, etc., all Gowdy has to say each & every time is ‘Madame Secretary, lest we forget, I once again refer you to the pictures of the four people who died under your watch - I am determined to get to the bottom of what happened and why. We KNOW it wasn’t the video”.
What McCarthy did is what an agent for the Democratic party would do.
“McCarthy has really hurt the credibility of the attacks on Hilarys scandals by announcing they are all just political.”
Respectfully disagree with that. Although IMO that was the intention and a deliberate one.
He had already compromised himself with (apparently) an affair with a woman in Congress. Supposedly it is an open secret in DC. What are the Republicans in Congress thinking???
McCarthy hasn’t hurt the facts... and the press would cling to the smallest thread if it was for ‘their team’. That said McCarthy’s a mistake... he’s the wrong man for the job. Daniel Webster should be the next speaker.
