1980 for me but medical community seems to hold “former smoker” against us even though minimal use for me thru service and college.

I quite cold turkey in March, 1986.Don't recall the month, but early in 1971 for me. I had a terrible sore throat and could not smoke for a couple of days, then decided to see how long I could go without. No relapses yet!
