LeBron James spoke out on gun control, one day after another infant killed in Cleveland and Oregon tragedy.
Theres no room for guns, James said, urging greater gun control to make individuals think twice before resorting to deadly violence.
James said he saw news of the child Wakefields shooting break across his phone while he was sitting at home with his three children and it automatically just hit me.
I feel like if we can do our part, through my foundation and what we do, then maybe it can possibly bring the number of percentages down from, I dont know, 20 percent to 15 to 10″.
James didnt hear President Barack Obamas impassioned speech following the mass shooting at an Oregon community college campus, but I know what I see. Theres so many around now, today, James said Friday following Cavs practice. James, however, left open the possibility of eventually shifting that focus.
Theres no room for guns.
Four kids under the age of five or six years old have been shot and killed or very badly injured, theres no room for that. Its all over. If youve seen my message, I used the hashtag, The Nation as well because its our whole nation that goes through this as well. James, of course, will be condemned for his comments by those who disagree and praised by those who share his views.
Last winter, James, and his teammates wore shirts that read I cant breathe in pregame warm-ups against the Brooklyn Nets in tribute to the death of Eric Garner. I dont know how you can do that.
With the unclear status of Tristan Thompson, there remains questions on whether or not LeBron James will eventually come to Thompsons rescue and help in pressuring the NBA team to give in to the Canadian basketball stars demands. He believes, the work hes doing through programs associated with the LeBron James Family Foundation is helping curb behavior.
Wonder if his posse is armed? If his body guard is armed?
Hes also 68, with an entourage, which may include bodyguards.
Not sure how "bright" LeBron is....
Don’ want you honkies to be ABLE to shoot BACK.
There’s no doubt....they are. Betcha Lebron has em at home also.
I’ve seen the security around his house in Bath, OH. Guess they can turn their guns in too, right LeBron??
I’ll bet most of the players in the NBA have guns or armed bodyguards.
Yeah right Lebron. Who is packing heat to protect your a$$?
You’re probably right.
The feeling I get is they don't want to give up their guns and aren't afraid to use them for protection.
“no room for guns”??? He should see the room where I keep my guns.
lebron dont have no adequate lebrain to be figurin this mess out...
Plenty of room around here. I sat here and listened to someone just outside of town waste a bunch of rounds of ammo this morning for about 45 minutes.
We’re still alive.
His earlier stand was wearing an “I Can’t Breathe” t-shirt during practice before a game last year.
I avoid the East Side like the plague! Not safe to even drive through with your doors locked!
get right on that constitutional amendment then LeBron. Good luck.
Sorry LeBron, but I’m already being advised on all important matters by Lew AlCindor.
OK, LeBron; walk into the hood and start collecting the weapons from the gangbanger homies there. Then we can talk.
Go back to losing championships LeBron.
