Trump is not a professional politician or one of that class, he is an educated, successful, and well known citizen; he has not shown any prior philosophical leanings but he has shown managerial skill; he does not appear to seek fiscal or social gains from office but his manner could suggest a regal attitude that GW would abhor.
Like it or not, Trump isn't radically different from anyone else Washington may have considered.
