I doubt Trump even makes it through the first few primaries. He hates losing and if he doesn't win Iowa or NH, I think he will drop out. By the time those first states vote, my guess is Trump's shtick will be old and boring. He's a realityTV star, the masses are fickle.
On the other hand, a big factor that should give Trump supporters a reason for optimism is - Trump hasn't even really spent any of his own money yet. He's gotten as far as he has without much more than personal travel and organizational costs. The other candidates are already spending and begging for cash from donors, and Trump hardly even employs pollsters. So if he stays in the race, Donald Trump will have a lot of money to pour in if he thinks he can win.
Fortunately for all of us your opinion is based on a lack of facts and credible intellectual analysis. :-)
Couple of non-subjective factors in the race that pro and anti Trump observers can both follow is his ability to maintain a moderate/conservative coalition and his ability to convince people that a managerial president is a good idea.
His immigration reforms were an example of the former, he’ll has to do it on several more issues; and the latter is needed to counter doubts on his qualifications.
I automatically distrust any screed that uses the words “the masses”; a phrase beloved by communists everywhere, starting with Karl Marx. Once upon a time not so long ago, the phrase was despised by everyone everywhere in the world who believed in freedom, human rights, property rights, civil rights, and religious freedom. How could you use that loathsome phrase? We are people, we are citizens, we are individuals. You, on the other hand, appear to be a fellow traveler seeking a writing gig for the Daily Worker.
