“Cruz won the value voters straw poll”
Rand Paul won the CPAC straw poll. These straw polls are meaningless.
If you were informed and objective that would be your statement. Cruz is polling overall about 4-5 points above Paul at this point. So its not a poll I like its all the polls in the country that indicate your intellectual analysis is challenged at best.
You would be more accurate to just limit your posts to “I don’t like Trump and I want someone else for President” That’s an opinion and does not require you to back it up with facts. :-)
If you'd actually read my post you'd have seen that I conceded that the values voters straw poll had little meaning.
In the interest of accuracy, they are not "meaningless".
Instead, they are of "limited meaning". They indicate that a particular candidate is particularly strong with a particular demographic (or interest group, or geography, etc.).
I.e., they shouldn't be discounted completely. But, by the same token, they shouldn't be overestimated, either.
