Progressive Chomsky calls for reparations to blacks, Native Americans, Iraq
The Washington Examiner ^ | September 26, 2015 | Paul Bedard

Posted on 09/26/2015 8:28:00 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Stating flatly that the oppression black slaves faced has not changed in 400 years, progressive hero Noam Chomsky said that the time is now to pay descendants reparations for using Africans to build up the U.S. economy.

Asked at a Harvard University forum about supporting reparations, he said: "Would I? Very much so. Not just African Americans. We ourselves didn't own slaves, but we -- me -- are rich and privileged because of the torture of blacks for centuries. And yes we own them reparations," said Chomsky, the Institute Professor of Linguistics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

“The call for reparations [for descendants of slaves] is very
legitimate.” – Noam Chomsky. #ChomskyForum

And the famed scholar wouldn't end there, he said at the forum this week sponsored by the university's Institute of Politics. He suggested that any people or country the U.S. abused should be repaid.

"The same with the remnants of Native Americans. Same with countries that we've destroyed. What about Iraq? I mean we've devastated Iraq, killed hundreds of thousands of people, generated millions of refugees, created sectarian conflict that's destroying the place. Is it our responsibility? Sure," said Chomsky.

"I think the call for reparations is very legitimate," he said, adding that blacks still face similar oppression.

"In fact, it goes back 400 years, the first slaves came here in 1620 roughly, it's 400 years, very little has changed here, fundamentally. Of course, the nature of the oppression has changed dramatically," he said.

Oh, wait, according to leftists he didn’t actually “support” Pol Pot, he was “just a skeptic like so many other people at the time” [who just happened to be almost if not all America-hating leftists who damned the testimony of witnesses because as “everyone knows” the US is the cause of bad things. These witnesses’ testimony, therefore, is a ploy to back up evil right wing American assertions that leaving Vietnam and cutting support of S Vietnam would lead to a regional bloodbath.]

Smell familiar?

The leftist deniers trashed witness accounts until and only until the communist Vietnamese years later invaded and cast down Pol Pot, at which point it became OK for leftists to admit Pol Pot was a mass murder case and the deaths were not merely environmental and exaggerated.

Now if we deducted from their reparations the amount the tax payers have spent on welfare, EBT, SNAP, wasted educations, etc, it might actually be a net gain. Tired of the so called victims.

If you have ever tried to read the tripe this guy publishes it’s obvious he’s borderline insane. Nothing he writes makes any sense. Pure nonsense.

Chomsky wrote the preface to a book by French Holocaust denier Robert Faurisson .

The Faurisson affair is a term given to an academic controversy in the wake of a book by French scholar Robert Faurisson, a Holocaust denier. The scandal largely dealt with the inclusion of an essay by American linguist Noam Chomsky, entitled “Some Elementary Comments on the Rights of Freedom of Expression”, as an introduction to Faurisson’s book.

Responding to a request for comment in a climate of attacks on Faurisson, Chomsky defended Faurisson’s right to express and publish his opinions on the grounds that freedom of speech must be extended to all viewpoints, no matter how unpopular or fallacious.

His defense was the target of subsequent accusations that his defense went beyond free speech arguments, and that it included a defense of Faurisson’s work, and that there was a deeper philosophical and political association between him and Faurisson.

On October 3, 2006, Faurisson was sentenced to a three-month suspended sentence by the Paris correctional court, for denying the Holocaust on an Iranian TV channel.[1]

The Faurisson affair greatly damaged Chomsky’s reputation in France, a country he didn’t visit for almost thirty years following the affair.

Chomsky is an old communist/Marxist while his father was a noted Hebraic scholar. Chomsky’s academic claim to fame was his work on linguistics and the development of language.

My first exposure of his communist front affiliations appeared in a June 10, 1970 article for the “Jewish Week” newspaper in DC, about his support for a Trotskyite “Socialist Workers Party” front known as “Committee for New Alternatives in the Middle East.”

One of his fellow “sponsors” was old teddy bear lovable grandfather I.F. “Izzy” Stone, later exposed by Accuracy in Media (Cliff Kincaid) as both a one-time member of the Communist Party USA as well as a KGB paid asset (See: Romerstein& Breindel, “The Venona Secrets: Exposing Soviet Espionage and America’s Traitors” , Regnery, 2000).

Chomsky, besides supporting as a “sponsor” or “signer” of numerous Communist Party USA fronts and causes, also supported the SWP’s fronts and causes, as well as the once-Trotskyite, now Stalinist “Workers World Party” and its fronts IAC, ANSWER, PAM, etc.

He has been cited as an expert on Vietnam but his book is far more pro-Hanoi garbage than respectable scholarship, but he has never let that stand in way of his Marxist mouthings.

You will find information on him a Wikipedia (watch out if it is not sourced); www.keywiki.org; and www.DiscoverTheNetwork.org.

The man is rotten and red to the core.

People have written that he was a Cambodia genocide denier re the Khmer Rouge and their leveling of Cambodian society by killing over 1.5 million people there, including of one his academic acquaintances, Prof. Sokhom Hing (who told the KR he represented them in the US and when he returned to Cambodia, they tortured him to death in Tuol Slang prison).

Since I was apparently the only journalist to testify before Congress on what the Khmer Rouge had planned for Cambodia if they won (July 1974 and April 1975), I find delusional people like Chomsky to be the most vile in the world, even more sick than Mengele and Eichmann.

In fact, I have more respect for the KKK and Nazis I heard (while in an undercover capacity) at rallies than I do for him because he should have known better but chose the Dark Side on purpose.

The man is sick, sick, sick, and the Left adore him, which explains why so many of them are mentally ill Marxists and fools.

This is what we are up against in academia, the media, among some historians, and politicians (John Conyers, for one). They are our enemies and the enemies of humanity, and we must never forget that.

Already new “Chomskys” are arising on the Left, such as Nick Turse on Vietnam, among others, and the sickness will continue until the truth prevails among the sane.

We have our work cut out for us, but after 45 years of writing about these sicko bastards and traitors, I find that I’ve got a long way to go to expose and destroy them as the personification of evil that they are.

Just for the sake of argument, how would reparations work? Every man or woman who ever lived in slavery has passed away, so payments would go to their current living descendants. But what's so special about the current living generation? What about their children yet unborn? Do they get payments too? If not, why not? And what about the generations yet to come? Does every child from now until the end of time who had an ancestor who was enslaved get reparations payments? Do people get payments based on the percentage of African-American ancestry in their history? How do we determine this? What about Americans with African ancestry whose parents or grandparents immigrated from Brazil or Haiti? Or from Africa itself? Are they also entitled to payments from US taxpayers, and how do we determine who fits into these categories?

And the vast majority of Americans do not have any ancestors who owned any slaves. Why would we get stuck with a bill? What if people have some ancestors who were slaves and some who were slave owners? What exactly is their liability?

How about we just do our best to make the economy thrive, provide decent educations in public schools and equal opportunity for everyone with equal qualifications, and put this reparations talk in the garbage can where it belongs?

Instead, reparations for gay Romanian midget wrestlers named Ralph.

Oh, wait.. they, like black slaves and those who owned them, don’t exist.

Turns out Noam Chomsky, with more than $2 million in personal worth, not to mention some fine waterfront properties in the Northeast, would have a rather difficult time if someone challenged him on his hypocrisy.

“...time is now to pay descendants reparations for using Africans to build up the U.S. economy.”

How about making the Arab slave traders pay too....and the natives in Africa who sold them to the Arab traders?

Yep! That’s the right thing to do???????

How about making blacks pay reparations to the families of white soldiers who fought in WW-I, WW-2, and Korea to keep them free?

How about making American Indians pay reparations to the descendants of tribes they defeated and enslaved far before the white man came to America? After all, indians did conquer other indians to gain power and territory too.

Now, give the blacks the choice: Removal of all welfare benefits and special treatment in lieu of reparations. Write them a single check and that’s it....don’t come back for more!

Was there some type of confusion as to which of the THREE grandfathers were the TWO grandfathers?

Noam is white. So (according to Noam) his opinion is worthless. I find his appearance to be a microagression that is offensive. He should be in prison for being alive. Hate crime. (progressive mode over)
