Can someone explain to me why no one supported Scott Walker?

Not bold enough is a good description.

I feel like Walker got to the standings he did IMMEDIATELY after Rush sang his praises for a couple of days. Perhaps this happened too easily for him - he never really stepped forward in a strong way to keep the ratings.

He lost me (not that it matters lol) when I saw the picture of him with lesbians at a pretend wedding.

Walker allowed himself to be run by the GOPee.

It almost felt like he was intimidated by Trump, the non-degree working guy vs. the successful billionaire. He just seemed .... overwhelmed. And starting so late didn’t help, what, did he think America was waiting for him?

But that’s what a campaign is for, to sort out the serious candidates from the ones who shouldn’t be there.

He couldn’t make up his mind to be on the side of the citizens and the rule of law. All of the donors and advisors around him were Cheap Labor Express employees.

Now if we could narrow the field to three?

Because of past performances in other races, I believe the GOPe intends to dilute the national attention (airtime) given to one particular candidate, mine, by maintaining the candidacies of as many Kasichs, Grahams, Jindals, Fiorinas, Christies, Huckabees, Patakis, Rubios, Pauls, Booshes, Santorums, and others...as many as possible as long as possible.

Agree and he is still echoing their opinion. Needs to step back and analyze the situation. He was successful when he was true to himself

Showed his intentions to play to the establishment instead of the base.

Carly or someone like Jeb will be the only ones in the running by next year.

Actually, Cruz will still be in it, but Carly won’t...only elected politicians need apply...

Unless you happen to be the individual who headed up the Allied forces in World War II...

If that’s what you are hoping, do you work for The Cheap Labor Express?

Agree. No charisma at all. Unclear on key issues. Might be great in Wisconsin where he is well known. But on the national stage he had a short window to articulate his positions and define himself. He failed to do so and got overwhelmed by more interesting candidates.

He changed his statements based upon polls. Doing so, he was a flip-flop not capable of holding to his own ideals.

“Immigration is how we got Romney because Rick Perry was too soft on the issue.

I fear we are seeing a replay.”

Unfortunately IMHO we didn’t get Romney and so are suffering the consequences of two terms of an absolute tyrant burning the bridge to the past and destroying what could have been a bright future. I doubt anyone can say, we would have sunk so low under Romney, speculation aside.

That said, we certainly seem destined for a more conservative president than potentially possible after eight years of a speculative term of Romney.

“His support went other places for some reason.”.....

Actually, I put a lot of this on the media’s shoulders. Walker wasn’t bold enough, didn’t make rash statements and simply didn’t get the media coverage that those who did received. Granted he has been a good governor for we here in Wisconsin, he’d make a great Secretary of Labor in Washington.

Poor communicator. Sorry, but memorized sound bites and a delivery similar to the local tv weather guy, just doesn't reach the audience in a powerful way.

Yes, theatrics are important. Scott was a student of the GOPe school of broadcasting. They programmed his movements, his appearance and his message. That is very transparent and it doesn't inspire.

He was pro-amnesty, and then went out and hired an expensive bunch of DC-based GOP-E consultants and advisers who made him sound even more wishy-washy on other issues.

I think that’s the most apt summary, he was consulted to death.

That’s what’s happening and will happen to people that drop out.

For the life of me I can’t figure out why Pataki and Santorum are even bothering at this point.

You like Ike?

Yes...yes I did...and still do

The first President in my lifetime was Harry Truman, but the first I distinctly remember was Ike, in 1952...

In fact, the more I think about Ike, the more I like Ike...
