I am convinced that one of the reasons the Left is so in love with Light Rail is that it is so easy to shut down. A few protesters on the tracks and the whole system grinds to a halt.
If somebody tries to shut down a bus system, the buses can simply be re-routed. If somebody tries to shut down automobile commuters, drivers will re-route themselves. But Light Rail must go on the rails, and cannot be re-routed. It is a Lefty agitator’s dream come true.
Snow plows on the front end would work wouldn’t they?
