When did transgender replace the more descriptive terms of cross dresser and she-male?
probably when they realized it sounded more “scientific” and therefore “credible” and following that, “acceptable”......
Transgender = dresses like a woman, thinks he’s a woman, usually still sexually attracted to women
Cross-dresser = dresses like a woman for sexual thrills, knows he’s a man, may be attracted to men or to women
Drag queen = dresses like a woman for shock value but normally as a man, typically homosexual
And for one of those weird tidbits, a Scottish gay pride parade was actually clouded by a fight between cross-dressers and transgenders. Both wore dresses, but the transgenders were offended that the cross-dressers continually identified them as men in dresses instead of women.
