I would suspect that a quick look on Wikipedia for the demographics of those 35 cites cited would explain at least 90% of the problem. As for the solution?
Could be, as you suggest, global warming. The President has blamed it for everything from his daughter’s asthma, to his own constipation and Michelle’s diarrhea.
A cursory look at the demographic breakdown of the murderers will provide the answer, I suspect.
