An 80-year-old Venezuelan woman died, possibly from trampling, in a scrum outside a state supermarket selling subsidized goods, the opposition and media said on Friday. The melee at the store in Sabaneta, the birthplace of former Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez, was the latest such incident in the South American nation where economic hardship and food shortages are creating long queues and scuffles.
The opposition Democratic Unity coalition said Maria Aguirre died and another 75 people were injured – including five security officials – in chaotic scenes when National Guard troops sought to control a 5,000-strong crowd with teargas.
“Due to the shortage of food … the desperation is enormous,” local opposition politician Andres Camejo said, according to the coalition’s website. It published a photo of an elderly woman’s body lying inert on a concrete floor.
Camejo said thieves had also attacked the crowd, members of which were seeking to buy cheap food on offer at an outlet of the state’s Mercal supermarket chain in Barinas state.

If we don't stop immigration to the USA then The USA will be to the left of Venezuela and here's why. The democrats are setting the races against each other so that's another dimension the socialists didn't have in Venezuela.
Note that blacks vote at 92% for democrats. And note that every democrat politician voted for obama care. Then look at what they did to California with illegals and immigrants. So then you will see where the USA is headed.

In a crisis, the grocerty stores are gone within 72 hours.
If cash is worthless, or there is very little to use, I keep trying to imagine a scenario during a dystopian America where I would drive to some "meeting place" or black market at 2 am to exchange silver or pieces of gold for food, ammo, medicine, water, machetes, knives, gasoline, lamp oil, candles, batteries, etc.
Not a very inviting scenario.
And what if, via Executive Order, Obama declares all gold ownership, sale, or transfer to be illegal, just as FDR did in 1933?

Now take 1,000,000 poorly educated, low skilled Chavista Venezuelans and import them into the USA.
What do they want? Freedom? Self Responsibility? NO.
They want a socialist government that is better at providing free food, free medical care, free housing better than their own corrupt government was.
And with the world’s reserve currency and a Federal Reserve that can print up all the money it needs and with unlimited US gov’t debt - the USA can do just that (for the time being anyway).
Just like Hitler they voted for it but gerrymandering and fraud has helped them to win elections ever since. They would lose now and only cancellation or massive fraud in the legislative elections scheduled for December 6th would keep them in full power.
I’ve read speculation those elections will be canned on some excuse like the ‘threat from Columbia’ ginned up by the regime.
Anarchy is a distinct possibility, too.
