I just bought two half gallons of Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla in Central Texas.
There was a line big enough to buy out the entire stock

I overheard one of our local grocery store cashiers commenting to a bagger that she would be off work today and therefore would not have to deal with all the “Blue Bell crazies.”

Just bought an off brand ‘Belmont’ butter pecan at Aldi’s. Its ok but damn if they didn’t fill it to the top. Sick of getting chintzed and ripped off of product volume.

Back in the late 70’s they had White Mountain Creamery at one of our shopping centers. They made the ice cream in front of you in some kind of a cast iron mixer. He was making rum raisin at the time. He poured in a bottle of Meyers Rum into the mix. I said, I’d like to have some of that mix. Never had Rum Raisin that tasted as good as that one ever since. (I think they were bought out by Ben and Jerry) We have a Blue Bunny brand here, (Name is close, probably on purpose?)its OK, not supper great.
I was exiled in Oklahoma City for three years and could only get Braums. Blue Bell is far superior to Braums.
Big Dessert’s board members are rubbing their hands with glee.
