The four scientifically named races of Humankind are: Negroid, Caucasoid, Mongoloid, and South-Sea Islander.
Nowone cannot know from, say, a photo, if a person is African-American. I mean, like, wowthat could be hurtful and offensive to him; he might be a proud Caribe, Dominican, Hatian, Frenchman, Somali, Croatian, or even a space alien.
If hes a dark skinned male, as AP likes to say in its bold, racial benchmark statement about the most recent cop-killer, then others would likely term him as African American. HOWsome-ever, he may actually be a Mexican whos not an American; or an American whos from Peru. Or a light skinned Hispanic.
Therefore, he is more aptly and scientifically termed as, Negroid. Besides that, we are told that we ALL originated in Africa, so I think we are, therefore, ALL African, so lets just cut out all this hurtfull, offensive, racist, homophobic, islamophobic PC slander and libel with the hyphenated names, and lets all just cherish our actual scientific designation(s).
Yay! No Name, No Blame!!
If I asked, “Which is obama?” Would that be considered offensive?
I think that “out of Africa” theory is a load of solid body waste.
Malarkey!!!
Negroid, Caucasoid, Mongoloid ......interesting that Noah had 3 sons.
I wanna live with a Cinnamon-girl
Where I can be happy
All of my life
With my Cinnamon girl
Curse the drummer!
In my sociology studies of the 1960s, we were taught there were three human “races” and each had similar physical characteristics in general
CAUCASOID (aka Caucasian)- are light-skinned people of mostly European origin that can feature a variety of hair and eye color.
NEGROID (aka Negro)- are dark-skinned people of mostly African origin that feature dark brown eyes, black kinky hair and wide nostrils.
MONGOLOID (aka Asian) - are tan (some say yellow) skinned people of mostly Asian origin that feature brown eyes, dark straight hair and distinctive eye openings that appear “slanted” to some.
Everyone came from one of these three groups.
In addition, sociologists told us that there were three body types:
Ectomorph - tall, thin people
Mesomorph - people considered of “average” build
Endomorph - short, fat people.
These were the days before political correctness and hypersensitivity about national origin. I am making no commentary about individual people or classes of people. I’m just telling you how it was taught in my school back in the day.
I think that out of Africa theory is a load of solid body waste.
I guess they’re just trying to give Africa credit for something other than AIDS, ebola, and hurricanes.
exactly; you remember it perfectly; i was there too
South Sea Islander was also a designated race in my time
if there was a memo sent out changing all this-—Gerry Rivera aside——i did not recive it
How about Hemorrhoid?
i honestly don’t know; it’s “traditional” to call somebody “black” (Negro) if they have a certain amount of “black blood,” but in his case, i don’t know
further-—i don’t LIKE all this race designation; it really does offend me., I can’t even talk to a “black” person without it coming up
in kindergarten nobody knew what the difference was, if any, and i wish it had stayed that way.
we are all african now...look up “African Eve....”
good
Devo?
i like that better, but ONLY if it’s in a context of NOT being evasive like the god-cursed AP
yes; and just as irrelevant unless a description is needed for some reason
race should not be a factor
it never was in 1st grade-—until we were TAUGHT what to think and say
gotta watch that whole melanoma thing
Rush nailed it: “Joyurnalistic Malpractice.”
They misuse the protections outlined in the first amendment; they are oath-breakers
There are two races only, attractive and unattractive.
i think i did hear that one
they are different from anyone on Earth; almost facially Neander
only facially, and almost but not-—just saying they are quite different
love it!!!!
THAT is a race. religion, and cult way of life!!!!
Hahahahaha!!
great
That’ FUNNY!!!!
Hahahaha-—I remember that joke
as it turns out, we are only “told” that; it’s not true. The African Eve myth has been debunked
Excuse me but what about the folks who used to be called, “Indiaan” who are those who Columbus found living here in z1492?
