Seems to me that many of these "previous Trump positions" were selectively edited and not in proper context. I was just thinking that if I was ever to run for public office, my opponents could come to Free Republic and cut and paste portions of my posts to make me look bad.

For example, with regard to the minimum wage, I often posted here "Let's make the minimum wage $100/hr."

Of course that was not an actual position that I took but I would often state that sarcastically to make my larger point.

So my opponent would make much hay of the fact that I support a $100/hr minimum wage and it would be hard to refute because yes, I posted those words on a public forum multiple times. And in the world of Alinsky Rules for Radicals, once your opponent has to start refuting or explaining your attacks, you have already won.

What are the plans, specifically, for any other candidate for illegal immigration or ANY of the other issues out there? Trumps plan for building the wall and having Mexico pay for it is to impose trade sanctions of some sort on Mexico unless they pay for it. That's the broad outline. It's impossible and stupid to give specifics because the situation will be different when and if there's a president Trump. And why tip your hand at those you're going to negotiate with?

The point is people are slamming Trump for non-specifics when everyone knows perfectly well that every other candidate has no clue OR is lying OR doesn't give a crap about building a wall.
