There is no such think as human perfection. We have to choose between imperfect people. I am not saying Trump is my choice. I am just saying that I could pick someone with a solid understanding of right and wrong and the principles of our republic but who may not have a perfect understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Carson is a Seventh Day Adventist.
Santorum is Catholic.
Etc...

I don’t agree with them on religion, either. For example.

As a SB, I remember a lot of Southern Baptists were very excited about Carter back in 1976.

In 1976 the ....perception....was he is a Christian

The same with Bill Nelson, who is from my area......the perception was that he was Christian and prolife.....

My perception now is.....I was had!

Precisely, that’s why I don’t get too worked up about someone’s religion or lack thereof. That’s between them and God. My concern is how effective a leader they will be.

"So, since Megyn says Trump doesn’t like her, we should elect a RINO?"

This has to be the third time today that a Trump supporter has pulled out the false choice of Trump or a RINO.

BTW, Trump isn't just a RINO---he's a Democrat.

And what on earth does Megyn Kelly have to do with this election as a whole? Geez, forget her!

So, you are saying Trump = another Obama?

Read my post again. I said Trump is a liberal, because he is. And we don't need another liberal.

Some years ago, Dr. D. James Kennedy did a biography of Abe Lincoln’s spiritual life. Although his step mother taught Abe the Bible, at the time of his election he was, at best, an agnostic. He was a crude, coarse, off color, even racist joke-telling lawyer.

He didn’t really get serious until his little son died. He mourned so deeply, and Mary really never recovered from it. But while Abe grieved his son, someone presented him with the glorious promises of the Gospel, that for a Christian; and that a child has salvation in their innocence; and that he could see his son again in the next life. And Abraham Lincoln became a believer.

History tells us that, while in their theater box, even as Boothe crept up the stairs on his way to murder Lincoln, Abe spoke to Mary about things they might do after his presidency. That they might visit the Middle East. (Meanwhile Boothe crept closer). “We can visit the Holy Land. (Boothe is now in the theater box and aiming his weapon at the President’s head). “We could go up to Jeru..... BANG! And the deed was done. And Abraham Lincoln went to meet his Lord....and his son.

Don’t you understand that Trump is running as a closing the border conservative? The GOP elite wants to elect another RINO. They are against Trump because he is in the lead. If another conservative takes the lead, the will pull other stunts to sabotage him, too.

And this is why I don’t want him in charge of this nation. We’re already being led by a huge ego without a belief in the need for salvation.

They are all liberal, except for Cruz. And Cruz is the one that gets along the best with Trump.

I totally disagree with you, Scott.

He’s just never been told the truth .. and I for one have a special prayer that I constantly pray over him.

“No weapon formed against Donald shall prosper, and every tongue that rises up against him is condemned already.” Isaiah 54:17

Trump is a lifelong liberal who only registered as a Republican in 2009. His long liberal past tells us what he is, you should consider that and not what he is saying while trying to get your vote.

Trump: "I Don't Think I've Ever Asked God for Forgiveness"

I don't know where you got your quote, but this is from the article: Trump declared, "I go to communion and that's asking forgiveness, you know, it's a form of asking forgiveness." When further asked about repentance again by Cooper, Trump said "I think repenting is terrific."

Trump clearly said that he tries to live in a way that did not require him to ask God, or others, for forgiveness for what he'd done. That's obviously saying that he tries to live a moral life. He also said he accepts religious repentance through communion and, by direct association, the inner repentance that accompanied that practice.

You, for some reason, need to reject those specifics. Apparently they don't fit your needs, and your agenda, and your purposes. Trump also acknowledged people like you in the article, when he: denied that his statements damaged his chances with Evangelical voters and accused Cooper of only wanting "to bring up the negative."

So believe what you want. FR has shown me that the level of exactitude demanded by various Christian factions is beyond the ability of anyone to meet, except that which those making the demands have in appreciation of themselves. That Trump would fail your criteria, through a politically edited interview transcript, is hardly surprising.

They are all liberal, except for Cruz.

That is exactly right. Which is why conservatives should be supporting Cruz not the circus sideshow that is Donald Trump.

The Solicitor General of Texas is a very fine man. If he succeeds in winning nomination, it will be a great day.
