In recent times; we have lived in Tennessee; we have 'lived' in soviet Red Hampshire. Two different cultures? More like two different planets.
Massive prayers answered! Been a crazy month and the next one will be as well. Spent 4 days in Texas house hunting a couple weeks ago, then went on a week trip to Alaska fishing with a buddy and our dads (167 years young between them) now I head to Phoenix for two weeks, then who knows. I'm guessing I'll be heading to Texas for good by the end of the month and Mrs. Doomonyou after that.
Once I get there I'll have the Mods change the flag on my home page.
Someone said Pennsylvania was Philadelphia and Pittsburgh on both ends with Alabama in between.
Greater Appalachia. That confirms what we all knew in Northern Ohio.Everything south of Columbus is really Kentucky.
Why not? The river is mostly Kentucky’s.
I read years ago that KY owns the rights to 90% of the Ohio River, that borders their state.
We’re on our way. Be there to back you up after the first of the year!
Interesting. Thanks.
Per that map; Bexar County is El Norte.
Bandera County is Greater Appalachia.
I think they drew that line very correctly. San Antonio and everything south of it is very Mexican American oriented. Everything north of San Antonio - well - isn’t.
Some of that Scots-Irish carries over wherever it goes.
It's immediately and glaringly evident.
Aye that.
The blood is strong.
Conroe, Texas..
Give a glance to the cadence and the changes...
Familiar, no?

“How about 50 distinct states, each with its own government, loosely bound by a limited federal government?”
Nah, that’ll never work! ;)
