That is how nature made them. They can’t help it. This is how they survive and what they were taught from birth. It is cruel I know. You don’t have to have the warm fuzzies for the beasts but they do command some respect I think. I don’t believe THEY kill for fun or to take a head back to camp and show off what they did.
Great Title!!!

No, we have to make the village valuable in order to save it. The village, in this case, being a dangerous, vicious creature (from the POV not only on the wild animals it kills and eats, but also from the POV of the local people - not that anyone worries about them - and their livestock. And the only way to make a lion valuable enough is to charge $50,000 for a license to kill it - and protect the purchaser of said license politically in order to sustain your market. This article makes the point that black bears arent endangerd in CA even tho they are hunted, and have about the same numbers as African lions. Least of all are chickens on the endangered species list, even though, and precisely because, we kill and eat almost all of them.
Now how would you know? Once you have anthropomorphized them, they can do anything man does. Just because you don't see their behavior that way doesn't mean it isn't happening in their minds. And nature didn't 'make' them.
It is cruel I know.
There you go again.
Say whomever YOU want made them. I’m not going to say God made them because I don’t know if you’re a Christian or not. Atheists tend to ignore anything one tries to say and focus on the fact you said “God” and I’m not going to get into a religious discussion when I just want to comment on a lion.
By the way folks, can people not have a freaking difference in opinion without others getting snarky or acting offended or picking apart your words to show why you’re “wrong?”
I don’t give a F if you like lions tigers or bears. I just wanted to be a part of the discussion cause I’m usually a reader but I felt like putting my two cents in.
Guess I’m reminded why I mostly lurk....
Whatever. You don’t see anything wrong in animals being killed for mere sport in the fashion of these trophy hunters, fine. It doesn’t sit well with me but I’m not a peta activist or some such thing, so I’m not going to go rabid on you. There are bigger fish to fry. Yet some of you going out to act like I’m a simpleton just for the fact that if I had a choice, lions wouldn’t be killed like this....well hope you feel righteous then. God forbid someone wouldn’t want to see a “vicious man-eater” get hunted like a rabid dog right.
What I don’t like is that the lion was lured off the preserve. That sucks, they targeted this specific lion and used a fresh kill to lure him to a place there he could be legally killed. That is not hunting.
I do like them, I don't like their anthropormorphization nor the activities that result from it. Those who do those things cause harm to other people.
