Toshiba Satellite A75 took other updates beyond Windows XP. But I dumped them and went back to Windows XP, because Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows 7 were CRAP !
If you dumped the Toshiba and switched to the I-Mac in '91, then you couldn't have ever run Windows 2000 or 7 on it. They didn't exist yet.

Like most of my "Buys", I buy on sale at the BX, when the models close out.
I didn't buy my Toshiba until 2001.
