LOL.

The media reports these stories of an "earth-like planet" somewhere in the universe as if the thing is just beyond the moon and can be inhabited by 2030.

Kepler-452b is a planetary body orbiting a star that is 1,400 light-years away. In other words, even a beam of light sent there from earth wouldn't get there until 3465 AD. And since this discovery was made by a telescope, it is visual evidence of this "earth-like planet" ... which means the Kepler telescope can only show us what this body in space looked like 1,400 years ago. It can't even prove that it still exists today.

Maybe it is the earth. If the universe and everything in it is moving, what if they picked up the light from the place the earth was 1.400 light years ago? Just saying. Not that I believe that, but there are so many things beyond us all that when these so called scientists and “expert” “know it alls” try to convince the world they possess the true knowledge of things unknown, I immediately have a rejection reflex because they have shown themselves to be heady fools all too often.

Heh. Sometime in the future, a detailed, animated image of Kepler-452b, depicting an event estimated to have occurred around the height of the Byzantine Empire, is received of Kepler-452b:
