I got a reply from Trumps Veterans email today - I know it is most likely a blanket response at this time, but it IS an actual response:
Thank you for sharing your story. It is an embarrassment for America when our men and women who serve have to struggle to get the care they earned and deserve. Mr. Trump is determined to fix the problems veterans face and your experience will be a part of the reform.
Please know that fixing these problems is job one.
Thank you for your service. Take care

McCain has been in the Senate for how long?
The VA problems are on his watch. He has done nothing.
Thanks for posting this. I’d call that some of the quickest response our dear Vets have likely EVER received.
Thank you for your service.
Thank you for sharing and thank you for your service
I wonder if they have a program that will separate the needs into categories so they will know the different needs and how severe each is? I’m betting on it!
dear LTC,
Sir! Yes, sir! This is the same response i received from my email, sir!
How long did it take to get a response?
It was ironic to find this thread just now. I had left the TV on FOX in the bedroom upstairs and I just walked in while Frank Luntz was pontificating about Trump on Megyn Kelly’s show. He was saying that, despite Trump’s current lead, he has alienated the military vote because of what he said about John McCain. I am sure that the members of the military respect McCain’s service to his country and his years as a POW, but I don’t think they are too impressed with what Senator McCain has done to get them the benefits they deserve! Even though he is a pollster, Luntz seems to have no idea how despised McCain is among conservatives.
dear hoosier,
less than 48 hours.
It often takes the VA over 30 days to respond to anything.
I know he is collecting a great deck of information. Am curious about what Trump is planning to do with the data. Hopefully he will leverage it to get some results.
McPain may or may not have been heroic in captivity (reports vary) but in general two major points are commonly ignored:
McCain is cast as a hero because he was captured and held in the Hanoi Hilton, he is the only ex POW to have ridden that role to the status of failed presidential candidate.
And, he has separated himself from veterans as a whole by his actions in elected office and regardless of his oft cited empty national defense/security statements.
He did not get to be ten times a billionaire by accident. And, I doubt that he established the email and the hotline as a whim. I think he has watched the Obama debacle with the same distaste and disbelief the rest of us have, and has decided to do something about it.
Being able to mobilize America's veterans would give him an enormous advantage in 2016. I think we will see a strategy where he plays to his advantages. Hopefully he is getting an organization in place to give a personal response to every vet who makes contact.
Unlike everyone else in the race, he does not need to ask for donations, and he can staff up essentially overnight in any area he deems worthwhile. All he needs is manpower to get out and support him at the grassroots level. I think there are a lot of vets who will volunteer their time if they feel he is going to give them a fair shake, Clean house at the VA, and start keeping our obligations.

At the end of the SC speech he said many people were sending him money he thanked them and basically said to keep it. Left a message at voicemail that he should donate $ to vets and let people know that was what he was doing
Thank you and bless you
I would think that he has a team looking at all the info being received, both in business practices, as well as in medical business practices, as one would do when looking into a capital venture.
My thoughts too
