McCain wanted to slap, Trump socked him right in the jaw. If conservatives want some respect, then THEY need to stop doing what we accuse the GOPe of doing and take off the gloves.
In principle I totally agree that conservatives need to be more confrontational with those who craft false narratives against them, but in practice I don’t know if THIS particular instance is the way to get respect.
There’s something to be said about picking battles.
