It’s not just the white supremacist groups like the Ku Klux Klan seeing surging membership as the S.C. General Assembly prepares to take up the removal of the Confederate flag from the grounds of the S.C. State House.
Law enforcement sources tell FITS an equally ominous trend is elevated black gang activity – which is being exploited by militant black groups in an effort to counter the pro-flag movement.
These sources tell us rival gang leaders are putting aside past differences – uniting and mobilizing in anticipation of upcoming pro-flag rallies being held at the State House. In fact they’re reportedly working in concert with black nationalist organizations in an effort to respond to these rallies.
Yeah … what could possibly go wrong here?
South Carolina’s state capital is no stranger to gang violence. In fact this website has repeatedly called out this violence … as well as the liberal judges whose leniency has enabled it.
Of course we’ve also called for the flag to come down. Now. And we’ve provided some extensive historical context as to why we believe it should come down (here and here).
Beyond self-evident reasons …
South Carolina lawmakers have overwhelmingly agreed to revisit the flag issue in the aftermath of a horrific, racially motivated church shooting in Charleston, S.C. There, nine parishioners at Mother Emanuel AME Church – including the church’s pastor S.C. Senator Clementa Pinckney – were gunned down by 21-year-old white supremacist Dylann Storm Roof, who has confessed to the crime and indicated his intention in carrying out was to start a “race war.”
Our hope? That Roof does not get his wish. That common humanity prevails.
But we’re not going to lie … the wave of unity that washed over the Palmetto State in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy seems to be giving way to some disturbing polarization (including alleged threats against lawmakers and robo-calls attacking flag opponents).
Let’s hope cooler heads … and common humanity … prevail.
For a long time I thought we in South Carolina were safe from all the Ferguson Oakland Baltimore violence. Even after the Charleston horror. Not any more. The gangs have invaded.
Get your CWP, then practice. Not only on the range, but in your vehicle. Moving or stopped. Outside your vehicle if stopped. Just remember that as a normal citizen you are now a target. Eventually you will be run off the road by bad people who want to kill you. Govern yourself accordingly, and survive.
That øbama is averse to the Confederate Battle Flag imparts to it a whole new modern meaning:

The fight isn’t just about “this flag”. We know the left doesn’t stop. They will just move on to the next thing to ban.

I have said it before and I repeat. If the Confederate Flag must go, fine I will agree to that. But I demand that there will never be any mention of Slavery, ever again. The two are equal.
If the $22 TRILLION spent on welfare just since 1965 didn’t put that issue to bed, what makes you think banning a colorful banner will?

The gangs, and there are some very mean ones in Columbia (after all, Clyburn is their representative), are likely being organized and paid by the same crowd that made Baltimore erupt.
When it comes to the Marx-o-Fascist Left the issue is **never** the real issue! It is merely an opportunistic excuse to push forward a much more hidden agenda.
When you rewrite history, strange things can happen. You take down and hide the Confederate Flag...you just rewrote history leaving out slavery...it didn’t happen...got to be careful what you erase. For the race baiters, removing the flag removes a rallying point. But overriding all, the First Amendment is trashed.
Work on your elected officials to give reciprocity to your neighbors. There are a lot of GA visitors to SC who would like to carry while visiting.
There’s some really cheesy reason why SC and GA don’t have reciprocity. I forget what it is.
My usual travels take me to NC & TN & VA so it’s not a problem for me.
Right now the SC legislature has the Confederate flag wrapped around its throat.
Don't leave out Michelin. They were a huge player when it was removed from the dome. Also the Chamber of Commerce.
GA does not recognize SC because GA issues by county not State. SC will recognize GA when they recognize us.
That makes no sense. I doubt it’s the reason. GA recognizes just about everyone, except those who don’t recognize us.
Heck, I’d get a SC permit if I could. As a non-resident, SC only issues to property owners. I’m not going to buy land just to get a SC CCW.
