“Edison invented the light bulb. He bought the patent from a German physicist. He then “perfected” the filament, although the filaments we use today were not invented by Edison. Oh, and he was a jerk! Tesla was THE man of the time!

Quite a neat trick by that dastardly Edison since Goebel never patented his “invention.” Of course the courts later ruled Goebel in fact didn’t produce working light bulbs prior to Edison, but what the heck.

I know, I know Edison was all a dream he really did not run test after test until he found a filament that worked. It was really his black janitor that pointed him in the right direction.
