Last night at Dallas police headquarters, a man opened fire on officers after planting bombs around the building which police later detonated.
After a lengthy standoff and a barrage of bullets flying both ways, the gunman is dead and miraculously, no police were injured.
What’s got social media abuzz with anger and disbelief is how CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield described the attacker:
“It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters.”

Very good. I knew a gal who worked behind the scenes at a TV station. She was bright and personable, but did not have the ‘look’ for what she called a “newsreader”—a class defined by appearance, voice, and an intracranial vacuum.
At some point there is going to be a debate over the personal liberty to be an unmedicated crazy person, and the liberty of other people to not live in fear of unmedicated crazy people.

I suppose she met “ballsy” or “gutsy.” It does take guts to attack a police station. But having guts is not the same as bravery or courage.
She was searching for the right words and she chose the wrong ones. Would have been better off to just say the guy was crazy and leave it at that.
I’m glad there was a good reason to rid the world of another thug.

MANY years ago my uncle worked for DWP (water and power) with a power line crew...he didn't much like climbing poles but had a good career as the guy on the ground with a lead pipe.
I hope she takes a moment to consider how vulnerable she is to a lone-wolf assassin.She went out of her way to piss off the wrong people.
