This is why I’m been promoting the need for every recipient of SSI, disability, Section 8, food stamps and welfare, etc (including corporate welfare going to big banks and business) to have their names, address, amounts, all listed in a searchable data base. Every dime that the government hands out should be public. It would make all of this transparent to neighbors, relatives and the general public.

Until recipients are known it will go on.

I saw this same thing at the PNM office in Albuquerque. A woman came in bitching about her high utility bill. She stormed out and got into a new Lincoln Navigator.

The same exact deal in the Section 8 complex across from our housing complex. It is full of Mercedes S500s, Range Rovers, and BMWs.

This is one of those “jokes” over which we in the medical field laugh until we almost cry - on any given day or night shift we’ll get one “Amerigroup” (taxpayer subsidized if not paid outright) so-called “insurance” patient with all the gold bling,

Wife and I were sitting near the billing section in a private clinic and watched as some guy wearing a gold chain that looked like the one from the "Atocha", told the clerk that he couldn't afford the $10 co-pay. She waived the charge.

Your car is that new? Damn your lucky!

Mine just turned 250,000 miles...

I wish they would have given me one of those “work” trucks that is never used for work in those photos.

"The Jag in the photo is a 2008 model at the newest and not worth more than $10k. It’d be a headache."

Kinda what I was thinking. It's not the older imported car's purchase price that's so outrageously expensive, it's the maintenance and repairs. I just looked the prices up, and a 10-year old Honda Accord V6 sedan is worth more than a 10-year old BMW 325i sedan. (Consider that people may be forced to live in Section 8 housing because they drive imported luxury cars!)

That Jaguar was a total that the guy picked up for $750 and painstakingly pounded the body out and scoured the JY’s to put it together and make it a nice car.

And if you believe that, I’ll tell you more.

A guy who lived down the street actually DID drive a pretty good car compared to ours in my neighborhood growing up; he worked at a body shop and every few years he would buy a worthwhile late-model luxury total and repair it, using his labor and the shop’s tools and discounts with the dealers. I asked him about how safe that was, and he told me that after he and his friends worked them over they were pretty darned good and safe. And back then cars rusted out in Chicago within seven years anyway.

Next, you can start with EBT cards. In my experience lately, anyone in the market who has a cart overloaded with expensive steaks, and other fine foods — and ringing up a bill in the hundreds — is using one of those (and dining out on me).

I don’t eat so well as those with an EBT card — not by a long shot.

” (Consider that people may be forced to live in Section 8 housing because they drive imported luxury cars!) “

Ha ha.

Another thing, a lot of “buy here pay here” customers sort of “rent” high-mileage, rough luxury cars until they break fatally. When they do, they call the BHPH place to come and pick it up.

Not to rain on your section 8 bitch parade.....and not to say I agree with it......but the rules are if there is 1 anchor, oops American citizen, in a family of illegals they are eligible for Section 8. That’s the rules.

None of these cars and trucks are new., nor are they expensive. They’re well detailed used vehicles with expensive rims/tires. But even these rims and tires can be bought used.

Bottom line, this is a non-issue to me. These aren’t $90k vehicles. They’re $7-$20k used vehicles that have been kept clean and polished often. But if people here want to have a circle jerk about a 10 year old $8k BMW, go for it.

Maybe some day, folks here will find room on their outrage list for Americans collecting disability who are “incapable of working”, yet miraculously, fully capable of spending long hours researching various subjects, reading articles, formulating deep opinions about said articles, and posting those deep opinions on political forums all day and night on the internet. But they can’t work an office job doing essentially the same thing because they’re “disabled”.

Nah. That won’t happen.

Mine just turned 250,000 miles...

Congratulations!!! Tell me, what's the secret to have a vehicle last that long? Is it a money pit to keep it going with that many miles on it? If not, what did you do to keep it running?

I typically get rid of my vehicles when they hit 100,000 miles --- which for me is quite a long time since I typically only drive 7.5 miles a day, and my vehicle is parked on weekends.

My 2003 GMC Envoy Denali has ... (Get this) .... 82,000 miles on it. Engine's a 4200 Vortec Inline 6 and it's still quiet and runs like a champ.

Also need dem big arsed truck for our childlens and cashless carry shopping. May need room for machine guns if those crackers don’t leave our head Kenyan grey head alone.

I'm still scoping out an old Fairlane—fully restored, yet the dealer's only asking $7¼K.

In the meantime, while I save money for the down payment, I ride an incrementally restored motor-bike. (Right now, it needs moderate tranny-work, but it's in otherwise good condition for a ~37-year-old bike)

Not bad.

It gets worse: You should see the restaurant where I work. On weekends, the place is packed with Obamachildren.

As I round the corner after midnight (when the kitchen closes; the bar stays open for two more hours), some of the most luxurious cars one can only dream of owning fill the outdoor-mall lot.

British cars (Tip: up until recently, British-Leyland—Jaguar, LandRover, &c.—cars in America were manufactured by Ford), Cadillacs, Lincoln (of any type), &c. I think I also saw someone show up in a limo!

No doubt, they get Sec8, FoodStamps, AFDC, SSDI/SSI, Medicaid, SCHIP, and other miscellaneous subsidies. AND some of them deal in dope on the side. It's all tax-free cash.

Arguably, if anyone's not paying their "fair share" of taxes, it's obviously the sons and daughters of Barack Obama. (to mis-quote CS Lewis)

It's so bad, I want to reserve this particular <p> for a tirade of profanities in Spanish, but I'm still somewhat tired—I've worked almost five days straight...I don't think words exist in the English tongue that express my outrage...

Jeb’s ready to cry a river for these people. -\

Hillary wants them signed up to vote and Obama wants them to take Americans down a peg or two by destroying our economy.

If they can afford such nice cars, then how are they poor enough for Section 8 housing in the first place???

Perhaps because they don't report their actual income when they apply for the subsidized housing, or a single female applies for the housing and then her boyfriend/partner/husband moves in with her and their kids.
