While I was happy that he was released from a frail and sickly earthly tabernacle, I mourned to see how far this country had fallen since he was POTUS. I have quite a few of Reagan's speeches on my iPod. I used to enjoy them a lot.
Now, they just depress me. The contrast between that America and this one is too stark. Listening to his words against the backdrop of this inanity of a once great nation is almost too much to stand.

Don't get depressed. I know it is hard because I just checked out the audiobook REAGAN DAIRIES from my local library and felt that way too.
But mostly, I get inspired about how one man against such great odds accomplished so much. You will be too once you realize that he dealt with so many of the same problems which we are dealing with now.
