"Then why is there concern about ID patches for the participants, so they don’t get shot by their own side:"

Thanks. It appears that the concern with the photos is that some of them aren't wearing the required patches. But those not wearing patches probably do know each other. Not going to elaborate on that publicly here, but Travis probably knows why only those in uniform are wearing them.

Austal builds ships.

That job listing is for a diesel mechanic that specializes in the size engine used for ships. Engines used to run fracking pumps are probably the same size so I can see why they posted that in Austin. They probably have same ads in Houston, and Tulsa too.

Austel builds the LCS, and other ships.

It’s not for mechanic at all, if you go read it, it’s a very high level procurment job, mega-managing builds over and above normal production.

My only reason for posting that is you don’t see that kind of job posted in CL, in Austin anyways, again just a datapoint. Especially with zero trying to shut down our Naval Assets.

My consolation for the Obama regime is that they will all still be here after the Rapture. They will be the ones dealing with the horrors of what happens when tens of millions of working infrastructure people suddenly disappear without a trace. I sure hope the entire staff supporting the White Hut are Christians. Moochelle wouldn’t know how to fix a meal by now, after living like a spoiled queen lo these too many years. Maybe Barry can bring a few of his homo butties in to work the place for them.

"Just curious, familyop.... Read what Travis McGee wrote, backtrack to see the link. Read it with an open mind. Does it REALLY sound that far-fetched?"

First, in comment #20, I quoted something from the article posted above this thread and ridiculed it. That would be the straw man that Travis McGee was talking about, and he's right about that.

What Travis McGee wrote about is not all that far fetched, if members of our armed forces were trained more like some of the foreign forces. But in my opinion, abrogations of our civil rights--human rights (constitutional rights)--are being increased in other ways by constituent bosses of both political parties. It's not Obama singlehandedly running a fictitious machine comprised of combat troops and police who think and train alike (fictitious), although he's certainly been interested in pleasing the more effete feminists, homosexual activists and other creepy interests of "the village." More on that later. From Travis McGee,...
Reality check, please: does anybody reading this seriously believe that President Obama is contemplating dropping thousands of American troops across an area as vast as the space covered by Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen and Egypt?

All kinds of possibilities are considered by generals--even possibilities of future wars with nations that are now friendly. The training is not only for small countries in the Middle East but also for much larger countries.

Neither Obama nor presidents of the recent past have had much to do with military training. Presidents aren't generals. Presidents are briefed and tend to agree with generals. But let's get back to the other point: that of the area covered by the exercise.

From the Army Press Release:
To stay ahead of the environmental challenges faced overseas, Jade Helm will take place across seven states; Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida. The diverse terrain in these states replicates areas Special Operations Soldiers regularly find themselves operating in overseas.

That doesn't mean that the exercise will cover the whole geographical area of all of those states but "across" them. The obvious intended meaning was that the training will take place in small areas of each of those states--areas with various kinds of terrain on them.

I also see the obviousness of importance for training in the climates in those states. In my opinion, such training exercises (yes, large exercises) should also be done in extreme cold climates despite the frostbite fears and other cost considerations.

"Master the human domain"--public affairs. That's been a big concern in recent wars because of collateral damage. We've yet to see if public affairs is a success and that no terrible incidents result from conspiracy incitements about the Jade Helm exercise. If not, the bipartisan, government-class gun control constituents in shadows behind their politicians will have another heyday with raising costs of firearms and ammunition against the non-government class, screaming "Obama, Obama" all the way.

Some of the police are owned by local constituents behind local politicians and government employees. Some of them follow orders regardless of considerations of law, more based on whether or not a resident can afford to sue. Police don't train like soldiers. At least one of the differences should be obvious to civilians. Other differences are very obvious to me. They do dress up, though. Some of them even wear generals' insignia.

People in our military forces first pledge an oath. After that, they are warned early during initial training against following unlawful orders, which is in the Uniform Code of Military Justice (the UCMJ).

Here's the oath that I pledged.
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).

The oath for officers:
"I, _____ (SSAN), having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God. (DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)"

You've probably seen news articles about what happens to those who follow unlawful orders (e.g., orders to murder or otherwise abuse prisoners of war or civilians). I don't fear our military forces. We should be fearing the real robbers of the debt regime.

I argue in general that the rights of increasingly more Americans are being violated at least as much by government-paid interests of both political parties behind state and local governments as the federal government, and that beneficiaries of state and local governments, with much federal funding (pork) have brought us to this economic and moral decline. I contend that they are plotting to further violate our rights by continuing their many current tactics and by an effort to change our Constitution for the worse.

More on this later. It's getting late. Maybe I should write something more comprehensive and easy to read--that is, write a whole article on the real issues at hand. Here's some information that might help in the meantime. It's about where the real political influence is concentrated and about some of the sources of the problems we're seeing now. They're taking properties and other resources as fast as they can while fighting over shares of funding.

Leviathan (Uncle Sam employs more people than you think)
National Review ^ | 02/03/2011 | Iain Murray
"...nearly 40 million Americans employed in some way by government."

And the huge numbers of pensioners from the constituencies above. Does 70 million sound close?

And what of the 100 million, give or take, who are out of work? If there are too few jobs, why don't they do something--start their own businesses by making useful products or providing services?

Most of the most needed work is effectively outlawed by the regulations (nearly all local and state regulations), impact fees, other fees and other hindrances perpetrated against potential small business starts by the aforementioned and those who follow. Encouraging business competition has been out of style for a while. And there isn't room for everyone in a "service industry" that isn't supported by revenues from manufacturing on our own U.S. soil. It's a debt regime, and the influential constituents riding high on the debt regime for now are afraid for good reason (guilty, and they know it).

I have fully expected to see the somestic use of a dirty nuke to be a major catalyst for the next major phase for some time now. It will be blamed on “terrorists” (foreign or domestic). If it is a ‘reichstag’ operation, as I suspect it will be, then it will likely happen somewhere in ‘flyover’ country. The real thing would be east coast (N.Y.C. or DC or similar) or west coast (L.A, or something similar.) This will be the big push, so watch out for them to initiate."

Recall the "accidental live anthrax mailing" by the Army last week. Did it really happen, or are we being fed a bogus strand of Jade Helm packaging? For later use.

"Army soldier with connection to extremist outlaw biker gang absconded with live anthrax samples mistakenly sent to his base!!!!! Enough to kill everybody on a subway system!!!!!!"

It’s also difficult to go into “ghost mode” when every electronic transaction (ATM, gas station, supermarket) leaves a time-stamped GPS trail. Unless you have enough cash on hand to live off, and who does?

Hugo Chavez got away with his theft of the country. Obama believes that he can do the same in the United States. All he has to do is declare Martial Law

The difference is that Obama is a tool. If the powers-that-be want him there he will stay, but that doesn't seem likely to me.
