We need to take out their nuclear capability (or prevent them from getting it). Obama is certainly not doing that.
It’s not about if I don’t like it, it’s that I don’t think the nuclear option would work. Remember, other countries have nukes too, including countries like Pakistan. And Russia who might see this as an opportunity to defend regions close to them from nuclear attack.
We can’t nuke everyone ... at least not before they can nuke us as well. It’s just not a very smart way to go about things. It would be a last, last, last resort, and even then we would probably have to take a nuclear hit ourselves.
