White House: Hey, it’s not our job to defeat ISIS

ISIS, Iraq is yours. Obama has better things to do

You tell me: Is it really that big a deal when the Obama Administration comes right out and admits what we all know anyway? That they really have no heart for the fight against ISIS and they’re not going to make a serious commitment to winning it?

It’s never been a secret that Obama’s political position on this - get out of Iraq completely and never get involved again - overrides any sort of commitment to the security of that nation or of the Middle East region in general. The Iraq War was unpopular (thanks in large part to people like Obama making sure it would be) and a politician couldn’t go wrong with an uncompromising commitment to get out an

How must those families of fallen or injured soldiers feel after having liberated Iraq only to see Imam Obama abandon Iraq and its people

Letting ISIS & Iran have at it, winner take all.

While I agree that Iraq war was very unpopular, it upsets me to know that so many of our finest military people gave their lives for nothing, as odumbo continues to avoid trying to bring peace to that region. Instead of seeking a way to stifle ISIS, Odumbo, by tying the hands of our military, is helping and encouraging their efforts as ISIS continues moving forward.

Probably not the “job” of a cowboy to shoot a rattlesnake, either.

But it is the most prudent thing to do, and quickly.

Rattlesnakes are nasty creatures. So is ISIS, and for much the same reasons.

I you aren’t going to shoot the rattlesnake, probably you should drive your pickup truck back and forth across it as it attempts to slither across the road.

If they defeat Isis then that means all of the weapons they supplied to them was for nothing.

Well, I hate to say it, but he is right.
This is not our fight.
This is an ancient blood feud between Sunni and Shia ISLAM (with other various sects thrown in).

The only time there is relative ‘peace’ in that region is under the iron fist of a dictator. That’s it.

How long were we supposed to stay there and babysit these people? I only regret that we gave some of them the hope that we would fight on their side of ISLAM against the other side of ISLAM. That was not very smart or very nice. So we owe the Iraqi Shia an apology there ... but it really is not our fight and it is not something that we can ‘win’.

Liberated them from what?
Certainly we did not liberate them from age old feuds and hatreds and religious sectarianism. And indeed we could not if we had wanted to.

How can we “bring peace to that region” when they have been fighting a religious civil war, on and off, for over 1,000 years?

Come on, admit it, that is really a stupid objective ... if it ever was our objective.

I was dumbfounded when I saw Josh Ernest make that statement.
My God.

First and foremost, the blood of American troops shed in Iraq makes it our job. Obama left Iraq under circumstances which opened the door for ISIS. Because of that, our men and women died in vain. Sons. Daughters. Moms. Dads. Brothers. Sisters. It was more important for Obama to “end” the war than to get the job done.

Another consideration is like it or not, agree or disagree, we went into Iraq. We started it. It is up to us to leave the country with some measure of support. But no. Obama took his ball and went home with no regard for what would happen next.

As a result, countless men, women, children, Christians and non-Christians have paid a very heavy price. And now he says through his mouthpiece ‘not my job, man.’

Had he paid as much attention to preserving what was accomplished in Iraq as he has to Iran becoming nuclear, that area of the world would be a much better place right now.

I have to words to describe the shame I feel hearing POTUS, through his spokesperson, saying such a thing.

So we should send more of our young people over there to die just because some have already died? That makes no logical sense. It’s just pride.

I hate to think of more of our young people dying just so we can save face.

Ever hear of throwing good money after bad? This is a similar situation. Going back in there to keep ‘peace’ (an impossible task by the way) would be throwing away more American lives so that we can take sides in a 1,000 year old religious feud.

Had Obama not pulled the 10,000 troops and listened to George W. Bush the would have been in a better place without a powerful Isis today.

ISIS was armed by obama/ill-ary and is making inroads throughout the ME. o’s intention in all of this is to have ISIS eventually destroy Israel for him and his ilk!

Obama pulled the Troops using the Excuse that it was already Planned and Scheduled under the Bush Administration.

Obama has spent the last Six plus Years dismantling any trace of the Bush Presidency, but when he is called on this he blames Bush once more and acts like his hands were tied.

When that Little Girl told Jeb Bush that his Brother created ISIS, he should have replied, my name isn’t Obama.

To be clear, I don’t want to see any more troops sent to Iraq. Sadly, it will come to that in the near or distant future. Think things are bad now? Wait until Iran nukes someone. And Obama will be sitting in Chicago blaming his successor.

Knowing how Obama’s policies are responsible for the success of ISIS, for them to say Iraq lacks the will to fight or it’s not our job is beyond the pale.

He has made a mess of everything he has touched and refused to clean it up, instead blaming others. Why do you think the question of whether or not to go into Iraq was a hot topic recently? So the admin can blame Bush for the mess Obama made.
