I think that I heard that of the politically identifiable commencement speakers of 2015, the ratio of liberals to conservatives was 9 to 1, which I think was close to an all-time maximum. My thought is that if you excepted the obvious liberal colleges like Oberlin & Brown, and the conservative ones like Hillsdale, the ratio might be even more adverse!
I will admit to still regarding Ken Burn’s “Civil War” as something I can watch over and over, if only for that magnificent voice of Shelby Foote. His later works have indeed gotten me to the point of non-watching for their rather obvious bias.

I enjoyed it as well. I’d never pay for it since I find Burns a despicable human being, but I enjoyed that series.
His Baseball one was nothing but “whitey owners are racist slavedrivers!” repeated ad nauseum.
Not once was it mentioned that Negro League team owners worked to prevent integration. They were well aware that integration in MLB meant the end of their leagues. The Negro Leagues made decent cash back then. Many of the stars of the Negro Leagues blew most MLB superstars away. They were well aware that integration meant the end of their income.
My grandfather preferred going to see the Homestead Grays instead of the Pittsburgh Pirates (the 30s and 40s were a bad, bad time for the Pirates :-) ) and I got to hear about them when I was really young (damn how I wish I could talk to him about that now vs. being 8 or 9 years old and not *really* appreciating those stories).
Not a single shred of insight into this particular problem was provided. None. It would have detracted from his disgusting, regressive political message. I’m sure if you pressed him for information, you’d be labeled a racist.
While I find segregation silly and stupid, not telling the entire story is just as sickening. History should be presented objectively. Doing anything to the contrary is nothing but political propaganda. Propagandists are a dime a dozen and should be treated like human garbage.
