I suppose that I should no longer be surprised by the dismal education of students in high school. But I continually receive fresh reminders of just how bad it is.
If I wasn't a grown man, I would cry over the state of our public education these days. How are the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! against ignorance. Sometimes I think our Republic is lost for all time. Still I have hope. As does he, it seems.
