Beware advice telling conservative parties to target the youth vote by adopting policies that may alienate their core older constituencies. Elections can be lost this way
At Politico, Daniel McGraw has an interesting article on how The GOP Is Dying Off. Literally:
It turns out that one of the Grand Old Partys biggestand least discussedchallenges going into 2016 is lying in plain sight, written right into the partys own nickname. The Republican Party voter is oldand getting older, and as the adage goes, there are two certainties in life: Death and taxes. Right now, both are enemies of the GOP and they might want to worry more about the former than the latter..
The youth vote is fickle
Theres been much written about how millennials are becoming a reliable voting bloc for Democrats, but theres been much less attention paid to one of the biggest get-out-the-vote challenges for the Republican Party heading into the next presidential election: Hundreds of thousands of their traditional core supporters wont be able to turn out to vote at all.

Hell, the Dead always vote Dem.
I think her being quiet is based on history.
The less she says, the better she polls.
As soon as she begins talking, about anything, her numbers fall.
Becoming the Party of Work--How the GOP can help struggling Americans, and itself.
Young people have always leaned liberal. As they grow and mature, work and raise families, they turn conservative. Some don’t change but many do. You can’t fight immaturity and greed. They have to figure it out on their own. Until they do there is really no reasoning with them or capitulating to them. The left will always outdo the right in that area. What the right has to do is lead by example. Just wait until they start realizing how much debt the liberals (and W) have handed them.
The GOP may be aging but the left is going to run out of money with which to bribe the voters.
I always find it interesting when I hear a tax increase proposed and they say “We haven’t raised the rates in umpteen years.....so it is high time we raise it another percentage point.” What kind of argument is that? There is only 100% total. When they feel entitled to increase their percent, that means we have to lower ours. They should live within the percent they get. Theirs grows when ours grows. But no.....the legislators lose all concern for us and see only how it affects their ability to buy votes.

Hell, the Dead always vote Dem.
Reminds me of a saying...
The Old Vote Republican, the Dead Vote Democrat...
This isn’t rocket science to appeal to the youth either, all one has to do is point out all the times the progressives (in both parties) want to run your life.
The most successful Republicans have ALWAYS sold freedom not freebies!
Look at what made Reagan so successful amongst the younger voters, that was selling the time tested idea of freedom!
Reagan had a set of one liners and examples he used to hammer this point home, none of the wishy washey hippie sounding “1000 points of light” of crap that HW sold, but “True-isms” that made a definite contrast between him and his opponent.
Like his: “The Scariest words in the human language: I’m from the government and I am here to help...”
It resonated because PEOPLE KNOW IT IS TRUE! Anyone who has had to deal with government on ANY level know this to be true!
This is one of the big things that I love about people like Ted Cruz. He doesn’t go into the whole speil about how lowering this marginal tax rate on borrowing derivitaves will increase domestic job growth per GDP..... He goes straight for the ROOT of the matter and the base philosophy of the government.
And this scares the elite!
If we are ashamed of the Christian values that made America, then what’s the point? We can never reclaim the America we all love without those values.

When POTUS #40 RWR left the Presidency in 1988, the U.S. population was ~ 80% white. Today it is ~61% white. Demographics favor the DemonRats. I haven't given up, but it is discouraging.
