I’d be more sympathetic if he had protested the Clinton Foundation, Muslim terrorism, or Clinton rapes.

Whats wierd is he did not fly his copter when unions and lawyers gave to democrats. Its only when the GOP found a way to even the game that it became an important issue.

They will justify and rationalize their disobedience to legitimate authority by lies to themselves about their disobedience

For example:

"I am sorry these people had to lose their lives. But that's the nature of the beast. It's understood going in what the human toll will be."
-- Timothy McVeigh

All the criminal rationalizations in the world don't make a criminal an honest man, or a murderer a patriot.

"I flew a gyrocopter onto the Capitol Lawn to save our democracy..."

Right, and I flew an X-Wing fighter into the Galactic Republic's Death Star to save our democracy. Nothing to see here folks, move along... no really move along.

A lot of people want to snipe over semantics, but the fact is the guy is right. Our elected representatives look at us a supplicants rather than their bosses.

Hmmm, interesting self absorbed, albeit controversial trite opinion by the gyro pilot.megalomaniac

Interesting case he’s making to try to get out of decades in the slammer for a silly stunt. Hit up something populist and see if a jury is dumb enough to buy it...but it is DC, after all.

And how did that work out for you?

Remember, he’s not out to convince US. All he has to do is convince one member of the jury.

Our elected officials are bought and sold. We sit back and cheer when the “right” people are doing the buying. In effect, we’ve reduced the political process down to a form of fantasy football.

I wonder how Mr. Hughes feels about the foreign money pouring into the Clinton Foundation.

From his rambling and ranting, one can deduce that Mr. Hughes is a Democrat. Hence, the foreign and domestic money going to the Clintons and Obama does not matter.

That matches the pep rally Party mentality of the masses.
