Big difference between a person requesting all appeals be halted vs. the Boston bomber who will fight his execution, until all appeals are exhausted, probably sometime after a good many Freepers here are dead at least 15 years from now.

There are only 8 seats available in the death chamber at Terre Haute, Ind. and several families of the victims want a chance to either see the execution via closed circuit television in Oklahoma City or Terre Haute. “

DENVER, Dec. 28— The federal judge who sentenced Timothy J. McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, to death agreed today to Mr. McVeigh’s request to halt all further appeals of his conviction and allow a date to be set for his execution.

I had forgotten about that. No doubt, had he not done so we would still be paying for his upkeep.
