Cops don’t like it when you point a gun at them. Imagine that.
But according to the story, the suspect was not armed when shot. He dropped the gun at the top of the stairs.
He was able to break free and run down the stairs, but when he got toward the bottom of the steps, he turned back toward the officers. According to Hackney, the officers did not know the gun had been dropped and were in fear for their safety.
If the story is accurate, this guy was unarmed when the shooting occurred.
Neither do I.
