Student Branded Rapist, Suspended by College for Waking Up Boyfriend with Kisses

A student at Brandeis University was branded a “rapist” and suspended, in part, for waking up his significant other with kisses.

The accused, identified only as “John,” was accused by his former boyfriend, referred to as “JC” in a lawsuit, of “sexual assault.” Before investigating the claim, Brandeis put John on “emergency suspension” while they looked into the incident...

...The university hired investigator Elizabeth Sanghavi to look into the claims. She interviewed both parties, but did not allow John access to his lawyer and did not allow him to see what he was being specifically accused of.

In the end, Sanghavi found John guilty of sexual assault for two reasons: first, despite the fact that the relationship between John and JC lasted two years, the first time they were intimate, JC did not specifically give John “verbal consent.”

It did not matter that JC claimed it was rape only two years later, after the relationship came to an end. It also did not matter that, at the time of the alleged assault, that he told no one that the contact was unwanted, let alone rape.

Second, during their relationship, John woke JC up by kissing him. Even though they were in a relationship, because JC was asleep, according to Sanghavi this constitutes sexual assault.

I assume you are talking about the university, a once great bastion of learning, now turned into a Political Correct Marxist, sexist cesspool.

Justice Brandeis just got up out of his grave and moved to Israel.

Screw the rules then because such a definition is absurd beyond all reason.

Kissing someone when they are asleep is now considered “rape?”

Yep. Consent is now the last remaining moral absolute.

(It later occurred to me that I didn't ask if you consented to my reply. Please don't turn me in.)

I personally don’t really care that someone is getting the #%^&*#%. How about they come to their senses and join the rest of us in calling it a bad policy.
